Nightwish have not stopped. They have just finished recording their new album, which will be released next year. They are taking a break from touring, as not only have they just recently completed a World Tour that lasted two years, but Floor has just given birth to her 2nd daughter named Lucy. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

Floor is not out of her comfort zone, this what you are witnessing is Floors soft side which is just as much a part of her. I’ve seen her around her horses and know that she’s a super sensitive woman and not always that Viking warrior on stage during Nightwish shows. She can go from a hurricane storm to a summer breeze in an eye wink. All these different aspects are in her.

This was performed on Ibiza in a kind of tent, that is why you can hear the crickets. In the last performance (Floor Jansen and Henk Poort singing Phantom of the Opera) the song starts with a real thunder clap and you can see the raindrops falling.

"This is so not her, singing like this" - yes it is. It's not her normal Nightwish style, but Floor is so much more than just Nightwish. And in Beste Zangers she showed off some of her other sides too, as she did with her solo album released earlier this year. That whole album is worth checking out too btw!

She did quiet some songs, totaly unexpected, including her first performance "Villia Lied" (Villia´s song), from the Merry Widow. The others expected a metal chick rocking, and got s soprano Singer. It is worth to watch it. Obrigado Senhor. Elmar from Germany

Nightwish's last album Human¦¦Nature was released during lockdown so the Live tour had to be cancelled, so when we got back to normal they started the tour which finished a few months ago. Their next album has been written and they have been rehearsing and ironing out the kinks. They should start recording very shortly and the album should be released sometime next year. A few weeks ago Floor had her second girl called Lucy. She was on tour whilst heavily pregnant. An incredibly versatile singer and remarkable human being.

Nightwish is just on a hiatus but have just recorded their latest (10th) album due to be released in 2024. Floor just gave birth to her second child. There are no plans for touring during 2024, but we all hope that they will start touring again in 2025.

There are several different songs from Floor on Beste Zangers in German (Vilja lied), Dutch (Mama), Spanish (Que se suente) and some in English ( Shallow, Winner, I Don't Know A Thing About Love, plus a duet of Phantom of the Opera). All worth a visit.

Hello Gabriel. Nightwish Army Soldier and Floorworld member here. Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. In March 2023 she launched her first Pop solo album "Paragon". THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Having said that, I want to make it clear that I ADORE Nightwish songs, Walking in The Air by Tarja Turunen and Meadows of heaven by Anette Olzon. Eu sou português como tu 🤘

Because of that show i was introduced to her and since Beste Zangers fan of Floortje. 😊 I go to see her live on 8. of december in Amsterdam. I really looking forward to it. Floor's 'comfort one' includes every genre of music known to mankind. This show is in her country, the Netherlands. However, the Netherlands is not much of a Metal country, so Floor was relatively unknown. That changed when she performed on this show. Her rendition of Shallow hit #1 on the Netherlands iTunes chart. 😊🤘

Floor Jansen can in difference to most other (good) singers in the world sing with much more detail which is why she is basically a prototype for good singing for all voice teachers in the world (she is hereself also one), because one can discuss and reflect every note decision, every planning/buildup, coloring, structure etc....most (professional) reactors never do that with most other (good/professional) singers. there its more about more superficial stuff like a generic good voice or here and there nice performance aspects. but the resolution is far lower. One of many reasons why Floor Jansen is extraordinary world class among just a few singers on the planet. And maybe the most complete one who has also the best storytelling/stage presence (instead just attitures like most singers)

My introduction to Floor were two songs were from this show - First was the duet with Henk Poort on Phantom of the Opera and this performance. I'd never heard of Nightwish at that point. But I was consumed with Floor after this one and I didn't get around to listening to Nightwish for another 3 months or so. For me, this is the Floor I adore.
