I was at one of these shows last wednesday, she was so perfect! This song also hits me very hard every time, i lost my mom 5 years ago after she battled illnesses for 20 years. So every time i hear this song i can see the big battle my mom bravely fought all those years. She will always be my personal superhero. Also met up with FritzYT right before the show🤘

Hi Tauri. Such a nice reaction. Ms. Floor is such a true, real person and professional to be able to even do this song live, with all the emotion behind it. It's always been a special one for me. When I first heard her sing it with After Forever back in '05 it hit like a ton of bricks. It hit me in my soul. My father passed away from cancer in '98, seven years before it came out and hearing Ms. Floor sing this song made me feel what she was feeling when she wrote it, and they were the same feelings I had watching my dad deal with and, sadly succumb to cancer. All those emotions of her song hit me again in '15 when my mom passed on due to heart failure due to illness. Ms. Floors music and her voice( with A-F, ReVamp and Nightwish) helped me get through those painful times. Thank you Ms. Floor. Sorry to be long winded lol. Nightdreamer Rich.

Tauri her mother has a chronic illness. She has a form of arthritis. She has had it since the girls were young. In spite of that she took care of them and put on a fake smile through the pain. She will never be without this painful illness. I see someone said her family was in the audience. I thought that was the case when I first saw this clip. You did a wonderful job presenting and reacting to this song............. :-)

My mum died 30 years ago, but this song just brings it all back. I was 24 at the time but i think i get more emotional about her death as i get older. Beautiful and painful at the same time. I cry every time i hear it. Thanks for accessing my emotions Floor.❤✌✌😭

Apparently Floor's parents were in the audience. Extra tough not to break down. Also someone stated that she said, "Bijna"("almost" in Dutch) afterwords. As in "Almost made it."

The only singer I can think of who is as versatile as Floor is the great Lisa Fisher. The only difference is that Lisa preferred to be in the background. She toured 25 years with the Stones.... During A Tina Turner concert Tina left the stage to Lisa during It's only rock&roll (but I like it).

This is the reason why Floor hasn’t sung this song for a long time. She always breaks up at the end because it’s so emotional for her. And let’s be honest: for whom it’s not? We all have parents and we can all feel the emotion. The fact that she breaks in the last part makes the song even more powerful and beautiful imo. Afterwards she always dedicates the song to her mother with the words: This one is for you, mom! And then she proceeds with Élan to cheer herself and the crowd up again 😉.
