Sir, you do what you do. Screw everybody else. I personally like the long vids. More chances to learn. Most of us do high speed and ovals. Keep up the great work.

Just so you're aware- the proper way to solder is to apply the heat to one side of the joint- and the solder to the other side. Solder will flow towards the heat, filling the joint with solder. You don't 'paint' solder onto a joint (from a former certified Navy micro repair tech) LOVE your videos!

Nice job Big B 👏 Whether or not there is a 'right' way to install a cap pack which can be easily moved to a different ESC (if needed) you showed great ingenuity there brother 👍 Looks like they sent you the 'platinum' model too, priced at around $90!! For boats that are built for performance and racing, that's an investment that could pay off.

Can't wait to see what this cap pack does. Great work and creative. Always innovating .

Bro, that is quite the cap pack! I’m totally digging the method you used to install as well. I will be watching your test video enthusiastically

Very nice job B, that mechanical connection is on point!

From what I've seen you want a cap pack as close to the esc board as possible for it to make a difference. Closer the better to help with ripple

That is a Jet-Approved method of tying into the power leads. No additional resistance in the power wires. Electrolytic capacitors are like little batteries; the LiPos charge them up when connected, then the caps supply that little extra burst when needed or soak up a little from the batteries when it's not needed. That is how they smooth out the current. Highly recommended in high-Voltage/hi-Amperage installations.

Looks great! I was thinking you could use the cap pack for when the lower c rated batts are used, that way it may extend the liipo life a little...

Good point! I'll keep that in mind.

THAT was a very NICE install Big B! Well done! I have other business to discuss with you however! I watched a very interesting program about the legendary "Reggie Fountain" of off shore speed boat racing/building/design fame, among other things, and it got me thinking! You profile Oxidean props here, but I would really like to see you get with Bill and see about profiling one his "Dominator" V-Hull boats here and show us what those are all about! I doubt that I'm the only one who would be real interested in that! Please consider this and talk to Bill about it. Maybe you could get a "Cat" to!

Bella Big B. Excuse me but I noticed that in a previous video you had soldered the positive and negative of the package directly on the correspondents of the esc without adding the connectors. Sorry but what changes that I did not understand correctly?
@IRONCLADRC2 жыл бұрын
There's a few different ways of installing cap packs. I wanted to enter change the cap pack with different boats like the 42, v2 ,Deltaforce 35,

Also, how much does that pack weigh? Cause you’re putting that weight up front so you’re gonna have to swap your CG backwards. I have weight in my nose also and have to run my batteries almost dead center of boat now
@IRONCLADRC2 жыл бұрын
It's not much extra weight the og speed run pack weights 61 grams

A little tip, don’t use so much flux, I’m a plumber and been soldering years lol. The more flux the more shit runs everywhere
