I have a Male he's 4 years old and he's the smartest dog I've ever had, he managed to get my neighbor's dog pregnant she's an Australian shepherd and only had 1 puppy a male So I have father and son and the pup is really unique looking in a good way

It depends. The good thing with first time owners is they come with a clean slate and takes things as they are. You need to be very in tune though with this breeds sensitivity and different phases. And typically in my opinion the kooiker is not very forgiving to your mistakes. On the other hand, you learn a lot of dog behaviour from having them. So as I said, it all depends - on what kind of person you are and what type of knowledge you have and not to forget what kind of breeder or mentor/support you have.

@@kuttebulle i live in Belgium so i can easily find a good breeder in netherlands or belgium. I’ve been researching my intire life and the kooikerhondje matches my lifestyle so that’s why. I know knowledge cannot be replaced by experience but dont underestimate what i know.

Something i copied from before: I'm thinking of getting a Kooikerhondje (i'm 15 year old and it would be my first dog, my mother is the co-owner but she had dogs) but idk if Vizsla or Kooikerhondje fits me the most. Don't underestimate my knowledge because i'm a "novice dog owner" or cuz I'm "15 year old", I've been researching my whole life so. I want a dog that can join me with walks and also runs cuz i love walking fast or running and also playing in my large yard. I know dogs need also mental stimulation and not only physically! My dad would rather have a dog that doesn't shed too much but normal is okay and a dog that doesn't bark too much. But i know how i would solve the barking issue so dw. I have cats and chickens but if my dog would have a good recall + early socialisation, it wouldn't be a problem i guess? Not sure if you are going to answer cuz kinda late comment lol and ignore my english cuz I'm actually dutch.

If you don’t up to care for a german shepard you should not consider a kooiker. They are so much a dog. A happy kooiker needs lot of activity and love and understanding. Very demanding and wondeful..

They might be. The kooikerhondjes heritage is very unknown. Kooikerhondje is a type of dog that has existed since the 1500 - 1600 or even earlier. Alternatively they have similar ancestors.

Ik ben het eens tot op zekere hoogte . Sommige mensen doen echt goed, voor anderen zijn harder. Maar het hangt vrij veel op wat voor soort hond je wilt, als je niet een kooiker wilt, dan bent u niet krijgen van een Kooiker ;)

Dit is echt twee jaar geleden, maar als je er één als eerste hond neemt moet je wel echt op puppycursus gaan. Ze worden vaak herplaatst omdat mensen hun karakter en de hoeveelheid beweging die ze nodig hebben onderschatten.
