My wife and I were JUST there! Stayed at the Melia Resort, Choeng mon. We loved the place! And we actually went to the Jaypan restaurant in Chaweng, thanks for the recommendation😉😎 Koh Samui is amazing! We have to come back!

This bring back memory.Been there three times in the 80's when it was relative unknown compare to Phuket. There was no airport then and at night no street light. The price was cheap. Many small chalets along the beaches which they called bungalor in Thai...LOL.. Now is almost unrecognizable. Used to rent motorbikes go round the island. The big Buddha still there with some addition saw from the video. Still have the pha yant and Luang Por Deng amulet from Wat Khunaram where his mummified body is on display.

I honestly don’t see why people speak so highly of thai food. Maybe me and my partner don’t get it… but in our opinion it’s a very average cuisine far behind many many cuisines 🤔

@@hiddensoroush. The variety in Thai food is super delicious but if western countries are unable to get the authentic ingredients or it’s cooked to the tourist/western palate, or ‘watered down’, then it can be quite ‘bland’, just like any other cuisine.

Had a week's stay at the Koh Samui Anantara Bophut Resorts Hotel a few years back, and my favourite time was spent on the beach and the Fisherman's Wharf Market in the evenings. It was relaxing and loved the foot massages there!😂😂😂
