I took a solo trip for a month in December 2022 and travelled to Hanoi, sapa, Ha giang loop, lan ha & ha long bay, ninh binh, phong nha, Da nang, Hoi An and Saigon. I stayed in Hoi An for 4 days and it was my favourite city in Vietnam! I wish i stayed in Hoi An longer. The nightlife in Hoi An is beautiful!

For me Hoi An is a must because of the lantern festival at.night. You both seem so happy to be here. Yum meat / fish market. The round basket boats look like so much fun. Check out the one they did when they were up north last year. It's really awesome, too. Also check out "Adventures of A+K" who came to Vietnam as their first Asian country and they said it exceeded their expectations (their videos are more adventurous as they went caving and did the Ha Giang Loop).

As a Vietnamese, I find "Hoi An past memory" show in the evening quite interesting, unique and nostalgic for visitors to understand better traditional culture of Hoi An. Hoai river ("Hoai" also means nostalgia) was amazing at night but I prefer Hoi An in the daylight more, looking at confetti flowers along the river brings peace and calm to your mind (Sorry my English not too good :D)

17:48 the reason for this is because Hoi An is more beautiful at night when hundreds of lanterns are lit which is a significant thing of this place. Another reason is the weather become cooler and no more sunny which harm your skin 😅. I know you guy have left Hoi An but i hope you guy already visited Ấn Tượng Hội An park which have Ký Ức Hội An show,it's famous. Highly recommend Da Nang international firework festival which is going to be held next month,the price is expensive but worth it

I really love the shots of the green rice fields from your hotel room and drone shots from above. So beautiful! Hoi An has done a great job building up it's tourist industry, for sure. There's a ton of stuff left to do so you definitely should come back. You should also check out Da Lat and Sa Pa (do the glass bridge there as I've yet to see a Western vlogger show it). Many people enjoy trekking with the locals. Also do the Ha Giang Loop and stay at Ba Be Lake.

You can get a 90 day tourist e-visa now. But more importantly-you should have insurance that covers you in Vietnam and pays the hospital IMMEDIATELY!! No insurance or cash to pay for operation-no treatment. Most people travelling to here never think about this, but if you get dengue, typhoid, or in an accident (some of the most dangerous roads in the world here) the hospitals will do no more than receive you until a down-payment/payment has been made. They just push your bed into the hall and wait for money or.....Also, you must have a Vietnamese driver license and motorbike insurance if you want to drive a motorbike. Have a motobike accident and injure a Vietnamese with no Vietnamese license and no moto insurance- ever watch 'Locked-up-Abroad? Chain your money to yourself, trust no one, carry a small bottle of alcohol for bites, beware of people wanting to help you. Be ready to be scammed, lied to, extorted, and robbed at any time. Do not be naive reading about Vietnam being heaven-on-Earth! Living here 22 years now. FYI.

Hue is also a nice town to the North of Da Nang, it has an old imperial citadel, the capital of Nguyen dynasty in the Vietnamese history, but it was just like less than a century ago. It is great if you go by motorbike and pass by Hai Van pass (not the tunnel one), you see the magnificent nature there!
