You aren't wrong about the Bánh mì about being the best you've had on the trip because it is the best out of all VN. There are two spots in Hoi An competing with one another, neck and neck. Both are Bánh mì but different styles, both are out of this world delicious. Hoi An bánh mì is probably the one and only factor that I would come back to hoi an for.

Hoi An is just amazing. It's the oldest and was one of the busiest commercial seaport in Vietnam since the Renaissance. The Catholic Church there was built in 1616, the oldest church in Vietnam. Glad you guý have great trip there

I'm catching up on your videos so I gotta start with the food tour. :) Glad you did another one in Vietnam...if you ever come back to Hoi An and want to do another food tour, check out the one "Steph and Pete" used as she was really good, too. I heard there are 3 great banh mi vendors in Hoi An and the one that Anthony Bourdain made famous isn't necessarily the best. Also try eating at Ba Le Whale, Morning Glory, Nu Eatery, etc.

Love your videos!! Been traveling through Vietnam a lot lately and the food is amazing! One thing I noticed about Hanoi and Hoi An is the herbs served with the foods are quite different to Ho Chi Minh. The Com Ga you had has a distinctive herb that I got quite used to in the North of Vietnam.

The herb on the com ga is called rau ram (Vietnamese coriander), one of our favourites!

Awesome vids!! Wondering if you guys ever get sick from the food you eat? Would love to know what to avoid while in Vietnam. The Pate in the Banh Mi could be sketchy for most travelers?

We do get sick but not often...we avoid seafood and dairy unless it's properly chilled and the place looks clean. We try to eat at busier places because the turnover for food is quicker so you don't have get food that's been sitting around too long. Pate was fine for us but if you feel unsure, it's better to skip it!

Wow you two are so adventurous with food! I do like to try something once, yet I’m a little constricted by texture. That black sesame soup was ‘interesting’ as you say Flora lol. I find it fascinating that the ‘Asian’ menu is of clear fully flavored broths, to a thick almost cake batter texture. Wow what a spectrum of choices! I love the idea of food tours but I’d LOVE having knowledgeable guides and worth every penny! Where you goin next? I have little income but my friend said if they’re monetized watch the commercials so they get revenue! She knows how much I hate them and don’t purchase anything from online as I have zero trust. I’ve traveled all around Asia including Thailand… understanding culture while also enjoying the culture can be a fun experience.. places of worship as is here in Vietnam and many places around Asia for example temples , pagodas should be respected! You’ll notice that covering up with appropriate clothes is seen as a sign of respect. A heads up Note should wear a sleeved shirt and put the guns away 😉🤭 And Long pants or sarong when visiting these kinds of places! It’s interesting for me living here in Vietnam I see that many foreigners never follow protocol despite the fact that Google is available freely but they never ask for help! I did hear Note asking you when visiting the temple near West Lake Hanoi should he cover up but chose not to… Local worshiper’s would never say anything but you might get a inconspicuous stare!!
