NASCAR may not have appreciated his talent because of a mistake but he went on the Dirt tour and just about every dirt fan cheered him on hardcore. All the guy did was post win after win on the dirt. Happy that he was picked back up but i do wish it was Stewart that signed him. If he did they could have started a team nickname like Smokey Young Money!

@@joemariotti3935 if NASCAR doesn't appreciate his talent, then they would not have let him come back to the series or even banned him from racing dirt. I am confused on that part. Also the reason why Tony Stewart did not sign Kyle Larson in his team was because Ford (as usual when it comes to future young talents) did not want him.

Lots of defensive anger because of what Kyle said, but hey, sometimes things happen because fate sends you on a different path. Not long after he lost the cup car drive, Ganassi left and sold the team. Kyle got to spend quality time with his family and sees something of his kids growing up for a year (god I wish I had that life). And now what.....he is part of the Hendrick empire, how can that be bad? His talent deserves it.

Chip only fired Larson because Larson’s sponsors left after his stupid mistakes. No sponsor, no ride. It’s ridiculous that some dumb fans wanna go after Chip and not Kyle’s old sponsors. I remember when Larson made that HUGE mistake and lost everything he worked for, I completely lost faith in Larson and thought "There's no way Larson's coming back from this". Even when people were saying that Larson was gonna come back as soon as 2021 because Tony Stewart was hoping to get Larson on his team, I still didn't see it happening. Mainly because I was too stuck on what he did on 4/12/2020. But ever since he signed with HMS in October of that year, and made improvements to himself, I finally got off my hatred and became happy for Larson learning from his mistakes and understanding that 2nd chances DO Happen.

The funny thing is, to this day I have never heard anyone actually say or print what it is that Larson said. I'm pretty sure it's what 95% of rappers say at least once in their songs, and what the 95% of the non-minority population who listen to and buy the songs sing along to. Larson didn't say it to me, so I neither needed nor wanted an apology from him for saying the word that can't be uttered. I'm glad that he got another Cup job because most of the time, once the mob comes for you that's it, because no matter how many times a Mea Culpa is given they still want you ground into dust.

what Kyle said was a bad thing no doubt but what was way worse. I hadn't watched a Sprit Car race for years prior to Larson leaving Nascar. But, he is the absult, only reason I started watching again, after watching his comeback race. Once Kyle started his run in the dirt. Nascar started seeing an infusion of fans race, so to speak, back to the dirt tracks, and away from the asphault. His "gaming mistake" didn't mean shit..! I am 67 years old and hear the same stuff every day listening to my grandsonson and all the other gamers playing on line... "with nothing racist in slang" by any of them, sipmly 2020's. But, the Nascar "Holier-Than- Thou" went off the deep end. I am so glad they did. Because of it, I was able to watch some of the best races I have ever seen in my life. And so did the rest of the nation, with Nascar paying even more attention to Kyle's ever growing fan base, they needed that and him back. We all got to watch a better verion of himself. I will say it again; I was able to watch some of the best races I have ever seen in my life.
