On July 13, 2023, Eldora Speedway hosted the race with highest payout in the history of dirt track racing. The 'Eldora Million' paid $1,002,023 to the winner with an overall two-day purse of over $1.5 million.

This is why i quit going to the big races ! Sprint car races dont have pit stops ! Just defies everything sprint car racing is about ! It's Bullshkt !

You're not going to have a longer/bigger sprint car race without an open red. The cars burn way to much fuel now. Even if you put a silver crown 75 gallon tank on. It will never make the same distance as silver crowns do. Simply because these engines are bigger and wings cause way more drag. Also 75 gallons behind would absolutely kill all handling on the car. Right now the high hp bigger team engines are running .75-.9 gallons a lap at Eldora & Knoxville. I've heard numbers on test days at Knoxville were 1.1 gallons a lap. Most guys are running 28-33 gallon fuel cells. If you fill it to the cap, there's little room for cautions. Before you bring up years ago, don't forget years ago the 410s were running a lot less hp, compared to now.

@@Corky3D i dont want a bigger or longer sprint car race ! If they are going to run 50 laps give them the fuel to run 50 laps ! I was at the knoxville nationals a couple years ago and sunshine had a straightaway plus on second and then they had the red flag pitstop and everyone got to put on Tires and make adjustments ! That is not a sprint race they have water stations in a marathon and Not in the 100 meter dash ! Makes no sense at all

@@kirkertel9137 What do you not understand? Sprint cars can not make it anywhere near 50 laps. Even with no cautions. They will run out of fuel way before then. Without a fuel stop the biggest races in the country would be maybe 30 laps long. Even with them being 30 laps, if you have multiple cautions they will run out.

@@Corky3D no shit Sherlock ! That's what i'm saying ! Either give them a bigger Fuel tank or make it 40fucking laps ! But to gove them a stop where they can change tires and make other adjustments to the car is NOT SPRINT RACING ! In sprint racing the crew cheif is as important as the driver because the driver has to run what the crew cheif give him or her until the checkered flag ! Sorry didnt mean to get so deep !
