Didnt realize you were giving this away so to enter, what makes me most happy ? I guess is sharing my love for journaling and art journaling with my grandchildren one granddaughter 11 just loves coming over and gelli printing and adding to her journal and then spending time together decorating those pages with memories and quotes, and one grandson 9 loves to do drawing and adding his and mine and his great granny drawings in his journal. These memories are part of what I love to add most to my journals. Another grandson 7 loves flipping thru and seeing additions to my journal that have to do with hisself.

What makes me truly happy is spending time with my friends in university. I have one more year till I graduate, so I will spend as much as I could with them playing, laughing, and having adventures. Sometimes, life gets too tough, but being around them makes it bearable. Just to have somebody to share with you the good and the bad is memorable. I may not see them after graduation because we come from different places, so I will cherish my time and memories with them for as long as I live.

I had a few professors that really impacted my life by the discussions we had in class and how they allowed us to think and express our opinions, it was truly magical being in a room filled with people who wanted to express their opinions and thoughts about important issues or topics - my favorite was psychology, literature ( analyzing poetry was my ultimate favorite) and anthropology! My three all time favorite classes prior to beginning my textile and design program! Your messages have really touched my heart as a huge insecurity of mine is my age in this community...sometimes I think maybe my word or work isn’t taken with credibility or people won’t like me or view me as a child because I’m young and still have so much to learn, but reading what you said about young journaling pioneers really touched my heart and made me feel proud! It's not easy to choose one thing that makes me happy. Watching kittens play, the American flag flying in the breeze. A rainbow after the storm, children laughing and squealing on a playground. Oh, I know the satisfaction of completing a project and pleased with how well it turned out. That's just scratching the surface. With 79 years of basically a happy life I think I could write a book on what makes me happy and still not pick what makes me most happy. Love the journal, probably because I love to sew. That's it, I'm most happy at my sewing machine! No, that's not it, but is tied for first, whatever first might be.

It's the purposeful gift of small words of praise and encouragement I get to give to people. A simple thank you to someone who cleans public bathrooms, thankless jobs of invisible employees, that gives me the biggest response and incredible smiles in return. I would have to say that the thing that makes me the happiest is just connection with other human beings. I think most people can see it in the big, obvious ways, but I like to look for it in tiny ways, too. Like, making my best friend’s favorite black bean soup recipe for myself, or keeping samples of loved ones’ handwriting, or saving a picture that a child drew for me. Priceless things like these are WHY I keep junk journals. ❤️

I am truly the most happy when I am crafting, or drawing. Especially, crafting with my Grand Daughters. I recently watched your video of the Gypsy junk journal and was inspired to make one. When l showed it to my Grand Daughters the immediately wanted one. Next thing I knew we were at the craft stores. They picked out their own paper and paid for it themselves. It was the perfect project for them. It has kept them busy the entire summer just finding things to decorate them inside. Then the rest of the Grandkids wanted them and a couple of adults as well. This week what made me truly happy was that all my family and friends (some travelling here to me) held a surprise 65th birthday party for me! And they hired a photography to document the entire thing for me to scrapbook! So excited to see all the family pictures! What makes me happy: My husband. We have been together for three years, in each other's lives for five, and married for just three months. Every day with him is an adventure, even if we're just sharing each other's company on the couch watching Netflix. He brings light and joy into my life, and is the number one source of encouragement I have in regards to my passion for journals and creativity. ❤️

Enjoy your tutorials. I am happy playing with my fabrics and papers. As a child I grew up poor with just paper dolls to play with, so the love of paper is still in my life. I am really blessed to have the love of my family.
