Florence B. Price - Etude

Florence B. Price’s Etude was almost certainly composed as a pedagogical piece for her own piano students, likely before 1932 while she was living in Little Rock, Arkansas. The only surviving copy of the Etude exists as a manuscript at the University of Arkansas Libraries in Fayetteville. Interestingly, the entire Etude was composed on one single staff of music, perhaps an homage to Liszt’s Paganini Etude No. 4 in E Major.
