Florence Beatrice Price: A Pleasant Thought (Round Lake Auditorium)

I absolutely love the mention of this town! My grandmother was clerk of Round Lake for many years (estimate 1960-1975). My grandparents raised my father there on Curry Avenue just off the Thruway (born 1941). It’s one of my favorite places in New York. She played at the Methodist church there in Round Lake. And she may very well have played this instrument. My grandparents lived just two blocks away. I gave a recital at her church back in 1984. And I got to hear this organ at many concerts that summer. So many great memories from my childhood and young adult life! Would love to go back and hear this instrument again. These musical memories fill me with much joy. To me, it’s part of my “home!”

Thank you, Vidas. Florence Price's music is very attractive, and I am glad it is making a comeback for the most part.
