I was lucky that I purchased this. For those of you that don’t know this song and a few other bonus tracks where released on a deluxe version of this album but not just a regular deluxe it was sold exclusively at Target a lot of times artists do exclusive deals. Going through a breakup. It's... Strange. I would never imagine anything like that. I blamed myself, struggled with guilt. I miss the home I had with him, the man, his family... And yet, I do not feel loss. There is no pain. My heart is not broken like it used to be with someone else years ago. Like I still feel him, feel the overwhelming love I have for him, and as if I felt he still loves me, despite everything. There was no chance of this ending well when we first met, but even so, I know there is no one else but him for me. I'm trying my best to heal, do the necessary work on myself, build myself up from scratch, focus on myself. Already I can see how changed I am after the time with him. And yet, our connection still fuels me somehow, as if my instincts were telling me that this is far from over and that we'll meet again and work out in the end. Truly bizarre. I will come back to this comment if the future proves me right.

Her songs are not about relationships, and this is exactly why she stands out. Enough stuff about relationship out there in the world. It is so inconsequential, nagging, and petty. It's interesting that she has grown and evolved a lot since How Big. Three years. What could three years do to a person? I never considered that album to be about relationships, but it seems that it was. But look at "Hunger". What an evolvement? I have grown as well, accidentally in line with that of Florence's. I'm not sure if anyone would agree with me, but the key to her poetry is this line, repeated again and again: truth and fearlessness if only for a moment. If she were a goddess and mentor when I first got introduced to her last year, now I feel I get under her skin and we share something soulfully, as she would probably say.
