My 5th year old daughter love this song like or more than me. Obviously i wanted to hear this song many times, my head reproduce it in my head everynight at all time in the day, when i was driving, when i was working... For my the Dogs Days are a representation of the slavery days in the work... I work for my father and my Mother, i work for my sister and my brother, i work for my Daughter and (if in the future there are a boy coming) for the future me. Run Fast for leave the dogs days behind, for the happiness of live other day, for have food in the table, for other day with my dad and mom alive with me. I have 33 and i don't want a world without them in my life. But the life, the world is going on, the Earth continues turning in a storm of happiness, rage, crying, laught, and joy. The life can be 1 day or 105 years... Maybe you can live all suffering and never meet the happiness for stand in a war zone... For this you must run for all this. The Dogs days are over. The dogs days are gone. Can you hear the horses? 'Cause here they come

today marks the beginning of me overcoming my anxiety. edit: usually i don’t like editing my comments to add something else, but the people replying to this comment have really touched me. in my life i struggle with a lot of things, for, getting out of bed, doing work, showering, just mundane tasks that to most people seem easy and typically rather boring. i’ve been suffering through this for a long time now and, though it hardly gets any easier, you learn to cope. and though i am not perfect, nor will i ever be, knowing that at least from what is now almost a year since i left this comment i have improved at least a slight bit, accepted myself a little bit more and come slightly closer to true happiness, is unbelievably reassuring. each one of the likes and the replies i have received has reminded me that, though it may not feel like it, i am never alone in my battle. for that i want to thank you all. it may be difficult to believe but your small act of kindness has helped me greatly, and i wish nothing but the best for all of you even in these difficult times. i’m glad this song, which means so much to me on its own, could bring us together as a reminder to at least a few of us that you are stronger than you know. you are so loved; never forget that.

I was addicted to heroin for about 8 years. It started when I was 18, shortly after my dad died. I ruined my education, finances, credit, reputation & the trust of my family. By the time I got clean I had no idea how to be an adult who didn't use drugs. I slowly started figuring it out & getting my life back in order. I have been clean for about 9 years now. I'm now 35, married & have a 4yo son. I still have trouble with things like depression & anxiety, but I'm doing ok.

@@diie-ana2146 The motivation for me came from being sick of feeling like crap all the time. But I couldn't do it on sheer willpower. It never worked for me. So I got into the methadone program. The stability of not having to drug seek every day, combined with counseling & just being tired of the lifestyle is what helped me get clean. The counseling was very important because it helped me address WHY I started using in the first place & I learned healthier coping mechanisms. I was on Methadone for a few years. I took that time to change my life & my brain so much that I didn't have a single craving when I got off of it. I still have trouble with depression (mostly just having low energy & motivation) from low dopamine. But I take vitamins that help & I try to get as much sunshine as possible. It helps quite a bit.

First heard this song in 2011. I was basically homeless and bumming it on a friend's couch. The song gave me hope and positive vibes. Fast forward to 2024 and I have a well paying job, a wife, two amazing toddlers, my own house. The song still gives me hope and positive vibes. Now I get to jump around the living room and dance to it with my family. Blessings to all of you who see this. The dark days can truly be over. Never give up on hope.

This song holds such a special place in my heart. From the ages 10 to 15 my cousin would molest me I was living a nightmare. My dad got deported and my mom had to work all the time so they had him taking care of me. I prayed to God to end the abuse or I would kill myself. That week my mom went through my journal and asked me about it. I never thought that nightmare would end but I’m finally healed after 7 years and I’m no longer suicidal God is good.

I thought I'd never get out, I thought my brother would kill me for being gay before I move out. But now I've moved away for a volunteer year and University after that. I'm free - from the abuse, from my alcoholic mother, from all the hopelessness. Now I'm sipping a tea in my small apartment, in a building where all my friends and friends to be live. Thank you! This song hits different after watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. I right away started crying and smiling like an idiot when Rocket started playing it. And then everyone started to dance and I just kept on smiling because this is just the beginning of something new. Their found family will be going their separate ways and I know it's sad but they know it's what's best for them. Gamora going back to the Ravagers, Peter leaving for Earth to reunite with his grandpa, Mantis leaving on a journey of self discovery, Nebula and Drax raising the kids together to create a new family, and finally, Rocket and Groot forming the new Guardians of the Galaxy. They all got the ending they deserved to finally be happy and I love James Gunn for ending their story so beautifully.

The bulk of my 20s were pretty brutal. Family tragedies, health problems, economic anxieties, you name it. By 2010 I was able/willing to crawl out of this hole, explore this world, and pursue my dreams. My 20s were achingly lonely, but by the new tens I was making friends, falling in love. I first started hearing FotM around this period, you might say Florence's music was the anthem. (This of also around the time the MCU/Guardians started shaping up) Most of my friends are married, living somewhere else, etc. We'll always be friends, but as nature intended it's never going to be like it was. Choosing this music to close out the trilogy really struck a personal chord.

I cannot explain the feeling in my chest at this song. I remember taking my best friend to go and see Florence. It was her first concert, and she was the girl who introduced me to this incredible woman. Florence didn’t stop moving onstage for a second. Towards the end, she ran (completely barefoot) to the back of the stadium floor so that the people in the back could see her up close too. Thank you James Gunn for putting her in the spotlight she deserves. ❤

This song is very important to me as a person, since this is my mom's song and it helped her deal with her demons and not have a breakdown during my hard childhood and tough divorce she had with my biological father! One of my favorite songs in my favorite movie series, Guardians of the Galaxy changed my life and I'm less depressive every time I watch these movies and listen to their soundtrack! I love this song and Guardians of the Galaxy! Some day I hope my dog days got gone!

Much respect towards you, you did what you had to in order to survive or escape for something. Those days are done and forward you go. Good luck on the path!

Hi. I’m 14 and in 8th grade. Compared to all of you guys, my problems may seem like nothing...but I can’t seem to get a grip of myself. I’ve been stuck inside my house in quarantine for a year, I started cUtting, but I haven’t done it in a about 3 months, I have days where I legitimately want to die. I see the world falling apart and I can’t do much to change it. I just feel stuck all the time. My workload continuously grows. And I’m stressed. But I don’t talk to any one about it. I’ve been doing better for the past week though. I deleted all my social media’s. I’ve been keeping up with my hygiene and cleaning when I feel stressed. It’s been helping. I started listening to Florence in quarantine (ship to reck, spectrum) and it’s helped a lot music, writing, drawing and cleaning help clear my mind. Just wanted to get this off my chest. Thank you for reading this if you are doing so. ❤️

You expressing your feelings and experiences takes strength. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is speak on our own issues. So many live in denial worried about how we may look in the eyes of others. In my professional opinion, the best thing we can do is "give zero fucs" about what others think of us- especially those who don't support our happiness and well-being. Social media is full of unhappy ppl faking the funk for ppl who know nothing about their human side. The sooner ppl embrace that mindset, the world becomes a brighter, safer place. Know that you are loved and important. Continue working on yourself and those bad days will lessen. Get out of your room and go for a walk. Know that schoolwork is overrated and that by now you won't be using any of that crap when you're an adult. Dont stress about it. Im sending you a big, virtual hug. I promise everything will be ok. Everyone will come out of this shiddy situation stronger and more resilient. You got this! 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎

don't suicide please. It's easy for you after the deed is done - as you don't remember anything once you are dead - but so hard on the people you leave behind....they never truly get over it ...its a sad thing to do to the people around you. If you want to leave then fine - but at least leave them your story behind....something to remember you by and to hold on to. Suicide victims leave behind a whole lot of guilt to the rest of us.

As a first generation student, this song literally gives me the “I’m running this race to make my family proud and future worth it” feeling. The part where it says “run fast for your mother, fast for your father” gets me teary eyed thinking of how I made my parents proud when I became the first in the family to graduate in college. All those all-nighters, long commutes, waking up at 4am to get to campus, blood, sweat and tears were all worth it. ❤️
