It's actually available on Kickstarter right now: www.kickstarter.com/projects/magecompany/florenza?ref=kicktraq

Its weird. Considering how much theme they tried to get into the game, you spent the whole run through talking about "yellow cubes", and "this building, whatever it is"

it's true, and I would definitely enjoy it more if I knew what those buildings were! and i was a dummy and missed in the rules where the cubes were named, and if I'd seen that I would have referenced it properly...

The assessment of the "dirtiness" in this game reminds me of why I loathe Guildhall in its two-player version. I don't like messing with people simply by virtue of there being no-one else to mess with. The more the merrier in some games and Florenza appears to be of that type. However, I like this one in spirit and though Fresco collectively seems to be the more thematically fun game, Florenza looks to be my weight. Thanks for finding this one!

Well, as game developer I played many games in 2 players and I think that arresting an artist is usually better than arresting an opponent's worker :)

Hey there! If you'd like to talk more about it, send me a geekmail on boardgamegeek (user: Rahdo) i'd be happy to do a followup "final thoughts" video to give a wider perspective on the game (as I did for City of Iron after talking at length with the designer: City of Iron Final Thoughts Part II )

Wow...you should probably take a break now and find something more fun to do like wrestling a tiger or stepping on a Portuguese Man-O-War....(heaven forbid). Anyhow, thank you for your time in reviewing this game. Saved me a little money, (again)...very rare thing when I watch your runthroughs. ;) Have a safe and terrific New Year ahead. :)

I usually enjoy games that have a cutthroat component to them ( or direct conflict ). But I have to agree with you in this case, here you are supposed to be mean just for its sake.
