Why would a towel make it safer when they were pulling the car?

The idea behind it is if the strap was to snap, it would mitigate it from hitting someone. I sure we needed something with a bit more weight, but it’s what we had at that time.

We were following the Florida Adventure trail route. It has marked campsites on it.

Does the camp area in the Ocala National Forest where the tortoise turtle was at have a name i can search for? I'm in Ocala and would love to take my kids camping there this upcoming spring break from school.
