Florida Bass Fishing in a Small Neighborhood Pond

In this video, I decided to go back to my childhood roots and do some bass fishing in small neighborhood ponds. This time of year, the largemouth bass around here in Tampa Bay, Florida are in "prespawn" as they get ready to move onto beds. This means they're very aggressive which makes for some great fishing, especially in these residential drainage ponds. I used both topwater frogs and spinnerbaits to get these hungry fish to bite.

Love Pond Hopping, did it as a kid on a bicycle, still do it ! Even broke my arm crashing on my bike trying to carry 2 poles and tackle ! At least the poles made it out in one piece !

i ride a street legal dirtbike and have a collapsable rod n reel and tackle box i keep with me to fish the ponds on the trails i ride and local ponds on the side of roads

I moved to Tampa from Ohio a year ago and I’ve been trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can to al the different techniques used down here because it is so different from Ohio. Love your videos man. Maybe I’ll see you out there someday

I have actually fished that exact pond before. Got a buddy who lives very close by and fished with him. We did manage to yank some big bass outta there 2 yrs ago and I remember a big 5 lb er I caught on a frog and my buddy caught at least 3 fish in the 3.5-4lb range plus plenty of 1-2 lb bass too! That little pond is fire!!!😎
