As a native Floridian, I'm SO happy these growers haven't given up! And they haven't given in to developers for pennies only to destroy their family's legacy. Florida used to be the leader in orange growing and everywhere you traveled throughout Florida, you'd see miles of beautiful orange groves. AND oranges along with juice was better and cheaper. NOW all you see for miles is ugly housing developments that sit on postage size lots overcrowding our state that's sinking back into the ocean at a more rapid speed than predicted when I was in college. PLUS now, a gallon of Florida orange juice has gone from $3 to $8😢 GOOD JOB FLORIDA GROVE OWNERS for thriving and your commitment 👏 😊🍊

My grandaddy back in the 70s always used cover crop. It made a difference. Cover crop not only eliminates your seed bank but puts nutrients in your soil.

I just found 4 trees with canker in my grove 😢. Had to rip them out and burn. Wondering if this could help protect my other trees if they arnt already affected

That is so true he is not telling no lie. That is the best way to sustain development of fruits is started by the roots. If the roots is come terminated food won’t be good so you have to take care of your soil

3 or 4 shovelfuls of humus at the trunk makes a substantial difference.

You can thank big corporations like DOW chemicals for that soil and nutrient destruction.

So your saying if you just put the seed in the soil, give it water/sunlight and no chemicals that it will grow? What a coincidence.

You don't grow citrus from seed....They are all clones. Farming is extremely difficult. It's much more than water and sunlight.

Please dont eve give up. South African oranges are disgusting 🤢 and dry. I don't want south African, mexican, or Brazilian oranges and orange juice...I want Florida oranges and orange juice ONLY. its a shame that Florida brand orange juice comes from mexico and brazil.

All you have to do is read your Bible. It’s in the Old Testament. It’s called the land Sabbath, every seven years you rest the land and let it rejuvenate. Yeah, we said the Bible is an outdated book.😊😂
