The first Gator game I've ever went to in my life was the Missouri-Florida game this year, where we were blown out the entire game AT HOME by a medium Missouri team. I really hope we do get back on our feet, and I'm sure McElwain will do just that.

I love coach Mac so much he's great and I just cant wait to see the Gators play with a real QB and strong O Line again I mean this year or QBs weren't that good but last year when we had Grier for the first 5 games.... WOW we need someone like him back in our program when he was the QB UF looked like a national championship contender and I believe if we still had him we could've beat Bama, FSU, and LSU in 2015

I'm a FSU fan, and I want to see both FSU and UF go undefeated when they play each other and make it like it was in the 90's, when both teams played for the national title. Also, with that said, I think the Gators are going to beat FSU this year, though I hope that doesn't actually happen. Anything can happen though.

I don't know if any of y'all feel the same way, but I fucking HATE Muschamp for what he did to the football program; every time I think of the 2013 season (especially the fucking GSU game) it makes my blood boil. With that being said, I'm very excited & optimistic about what Coach McElwain can do. Especially with the class he was able to sign in such a short time; I feel really good about this hire. You do know in 2012 we went 11-1 in the regular season and were in the top 2 and wouldve went to the ntional championship had USC beat Notre Dame right? That was under muschamp. So i dont appreciate your comments made about him. He went into a program abandoned by a coach who everybody was looking to lead Florida to more championships. Its not Muschamps fault at all

Jhodge2raw The outlier to all of his seasons at UF. After Reed, Gilly, Bostic, Jenkins, Easley, and Elam left (Meyer recruits) as well as coach Quinn, you could see how bad the program declined as evidenced by the '13 and '14 seasons. No player development, horrible offense (responsibility falls on the HC) and poor game plans.

Everyone says that we are going to be bad next year, but that is simply not true. We have a great defense coming back, we have new offense, and we are bringing in a great class of freshman. I think we can go 8-5 or 9-4.

WHY is everyone so high on Grier? He played small school football in the state of NC. He's a good QB but obviously didn't have the skills to make an impact yet. Treon played on a national level in the state of FL and has proven he can win in highschool and college. I believe he will be a winning QB at FL. Remember he was just true freshman and he went toe to toe with FSU and SC. He's not a DB or an H back, I've seen this kid single handedly embarrass defenses when plays breakdown and he can really spin the ball. I say let's give him a chance.

Driver Six Blah blah blah. Your defense is absolutely atrocious. At least we had a fantastic defense, and a bit of offense to go with it. Your team is all offense. Might as well rid of the defense, and just stick a chair on the opposing side of the line of scrimmage, it will play better defense, and allow room for more offensive players, since that's all your coach knows how to use.

Don't expect too much fellow Gators. I agree that the offense is going to be better, but not by a long shot. We have a terrible line, helped a little by some transfers, that are inexperienced as much as our quarterbacks. Don't let me get started on the receivers, as Demarcus Robinson is the only decent one and he drops passes all the time. Don't expect much from the season but expect change to come! Go Gators!!!

With his skill set, he's probably better suited at another position. But you have to give the guy some credit. He's got some balls being a true freshman and taking over during panic time last season. Treon Harris is not really the problem . The problem is that we had a team playing favorites, causing most of the games to be left up to one person being on the field . We cannot have a team with players in this " My Way or I`m not going to show up ", attitude . They won`t try to catch Jeff Driskel's passes , but they will try to catch Treon Harris' passes . I said it once and I`m saying it again . Teamwork is what wins Championships. Everybody working together and doing their part . And we did not get that . All we ended up with is a bunch of overgrown babies wearing Gator Colors, just to have Will Munschamp ending up taking the fall and being the fall guy for it . So no , Don`t ever put all of this on the QBs . The QBs are only as good as the rest of the players on the team let them be . - Dwight

McElwain will do what it takes to bring Power back to the Gator Nation. I will always believe Muschamp was the guy for the Program but his Hard headedness on the Offensive side of the Ball was by far his downfall. If the Offense was just good and put 28 points on the scoreboard every game I think Muschamp would be a long term guy for sure because Florida's Defense was just straight nasty and they basically was the offense in most games they gave up some big plays cause they were basically trying to force Big plays for the offense to somewhat capitalize. But Coach Mac needs to develop the QB postion and UF will be back on Top!!!

Treon is a freakish athlete he needs work but so do alot of QBs that come into college they need to adjust his QBR was low bc he always took those long field shots its not him or or offense it was driskel muschamp put his job on the line for him and he lost it everytime we lost it was because of a turn over he made Treon came in and provide a spark for our offense that struggled bc all we did was run and that also cost muschamp the job Treon will get us back to national championship team if mac helps him him to improve his accuracy and helps him learn on defense coverages and blitzs hes going to be our leader and the next vince young or micheal vick (in college days)

I hate to say it dude, but it wasn't all Driskel's fault... The only decent receiver we had was Robinson, and it seemed the offensive line NEVER blocked as well for Driskel as they did for Treon. Basically what I'm saying is that once Driskel started slumping, its like the team gave up on him, and it seemed like the team played much harder for Treon.
