Florida Highway Patrol officials hold a news conference to discuss the death of a 26-year-old trooper who was killed while trying to detain a fleeing felon on Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County.

I'm a former LEO, as a law enforcement officer you need to make a decision when the danger to the public outweighs the need to continue pursuit. If Fink did in fact drive into oncoming traffic to continue pursuit, that was a fatal error. Police go through Emergency Vehicle Operation and Control training to prevent things like this from occurring but the training is pointless if we don't follow the principles of it.

It's a tragedy, but this clown thanking Desantos is a joke!, Florida is a freak show and he's making a political statement. This is an example why many Police Dep.'s do not perform high speed pursuits...it's a shame, yes tragedy. That truck driver had a family!
