Just finished cycling my first tank. Got a Royal Gramma, and for very cheap got a green and green/orange ricordea. Was unplanned. They look awesome.

this tank is the nuts! everything is looking super healthy man! what's the secret? lol. I have a nano reef going, my 1st tank. I've just ordered 2 ricordea florida. One orange, one bright green, I hope I can keep them looking as healthy as yours. your zoas look amazing too! the zoas in my tank have decided to close up and not open fully. They open in the day but are closed by late afternoon. I'm really considering scraping them off my rock and throwing them away. there taking up valuable real estate in my not so big tank. I love zoas too its such a disappointment 😠😯😢

I'm starting to really like these corals too. They don't add movement compared to others but definitely pleasing to the eye. Are those ricordias on a frag dish?

Nice ricordeas. How fast or slow do yours grow? I have 1 that split once in 4 months, unluckily, my turbo snail knocked the plug killing the new one 😔

So I purchased my first today. Its the color of the one that you say is your favorite. Question, Are each of your mushrooms singular on plugs or are they all on one rock? I want to set mine up like you have as a colony. Can I glue them to a rock or just glue the plug that its on to the rock? Thanks and it is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

Which do you think is more hardy? The Florida Ricordea, or the Discosoma mushrooms? I know the Ricordea Yuma are not as hardy as Ricordea Florida, but how to the Ricordea Florida compare to the Discosoma?

I´m having trouble with my Ricordia (1). It´s shrinking in size and not opening upp since i change from one led light to another. I don´t think its the light that does it, they thrive under different lighting and it should have been acclimated to the light 5 times over. I think its my lac off feeding. Do you feed your Ricordias? if so what and how often? I´ve started feeding it Reef pearls once a week in a separat container out of the tank so the food doesn´t blow away and it can take its time to eat.

I am thinking of getting an orange one, I go to much purple and green from online auction so I want o pick up other neon colors to make a neon tank. I am confused some of these look like flowers like the orange the on e on top a big blob, so I guess its just a matter of luck or what? How about the yuma. It almost always looks like a flower, what s the difference between the two. I love mushrooms!

how long have yours survived? I have a rainbow ricordea Yuma that im picking up in 2 days and ive been doing research about it and everywhere I read it says they die in few months from a bacteria that easts from inside out

I am so confused about how these reproduce. Dosnt the florida type just grow in big cluster like ontop of the orange one. I have see gardens of them and looks like when the reproduce that others colors are in the mix from the one single florida. Isnt the orange a yuma? It looks to have the bumps in a straight line and not just random. Do the leave pieces of them selves around when they reproduce? I love all the types and looking into a rhodactis right now because It is cheap and very bright, at my LFS. I have been warned they will take over your tank and since they are going in a small tank it scares me. How can I avoid that from happening. I would like it to reproduce but not in crazy measures!

How do I get mine off one rock onto another :( please help

Since they are a bit of a pain to attach (ideally keep with a bowl of pebbles, so they could attach to the pebbles which in turn you could glue to rocks), I would try to cut/shave a piece of the attached rock out along with the ric and mount it that way.
