Truly. Not many people, Floridians included, really know about all the wonderful locations in Florida - right under our noses. There are so many nice beach towns within 60 minute drive of most places, even if we ourselves live in a nice location. So many quaint, well kept, clean beach towns abound, that most Floridians don't even bother to visit other places nearby. Happens when we live in a state full of natural beauty and seaside riches.

You can travel throughout Florida with small kids if you’re a wise parent who does their research and knows where to stay/visit. I have small kids and live in Florida no problem. I live on the Treasure Coast.

I was just there a week ago, it was an amazing walk. It was great getting to see Hollywood beach again. You should definitely visit and try their ice cream. Also try to go visit Jaxsons ice cream in Hollywood as well.

Tell them to clean the damn beach, there's trash everywhere. I would be embarrassed if I was a resident of that city. Cig butts everywhere as you sink your feet into the sand, almost every step. South Broward is Beautiful from Hollywood, to Hallandale Beach, and Fort Lauderdale these are the best city in Broward County the night life and the Beaches are amazing great place to live and travel to.

Grew up in Hollywood, owned a house in Dania, had to move to Palm Bay in Brevard County to take care of my parents. Miss my friends and the cool clear waters to swim in, dark and rough just 2 1/2 hrs north. Sebastian inlet has a swimming lagoon but just not the same🫠

One of the areas I’ve started to research for towns to move to, love the proximity to Miami, and the keys without actually living in the big city, absolutely pristine beaches, and love the boardwalk as well. Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Hollywood are my top 3 as of right now.

The Clearwater/St. Pete area has horrible traffic. I’ve never been to Hollywood so can’t speak on that, but whenever we visit family in Tampa, the ride is a headache.

@@Marlaina Hollywood is a better choice for the reason you mentioned. Also Clearwater/ST Pete are sleepy towns and pretty much dead at night. So if someone likes lively places then South or South East Florida is the place to be

I lived there.for 8 fun, wonderful years of my life back in the 80's & 90's. There was always interesting places to go to, restaurants along the water ways, after work happy hour party's and night time disco to have fun times at back then. This is a great video that show how it has grown and is a very fun, beautiful place to visit.
