Great video Jay! Love the old west theme parks and so grateful and appreciative of Kirby Family and the Six Gun Territory cowboys, cowgirls, and staff for keeping it alive and fun for the new generations.

Went to both Six Gun Territory and Silver Springs to see and ride the Glass Bottom Boats in the early 60's (1963) to mid 1960's. Both were great places to visit.

I am a 76 year old Floridian and remember Six Gun Territory very well. I tool my two young sons there back in the 1970'a when I lived very close to Ocala, FL. I had friends who worked at Six Gun back then. I only live about 40 minutes from Williston right now. I need to visit the Kirby Family Farm!!!!! Thank you, Jay, for this great video!!❤🙂. P.S. I graduated from North Marion High School, Sparr, FL in 1966 so these are all of my old stomping grounds.

Thank you so much for the videos!! Nostalgia is awesome 😊 I grew up with Frontier Village in San Jose. And we had a Santa's Village on the way to Santa Cruz. Sadly both long gone. We still have Great America for now. FUN FACT: The train that I grew up riding at GA in Northern California is the Scary Train at Kirby Farms. Excited to watch this!!

I live in Ocala and always plan to go to Kirby Farms but haven’t made it yet. Moved to Ocala in 1989 so never went to Six Gun Territory. I worked with a lady who owned a shop at Six Gun Territory and she blamed Disney for them closing. I know it was partly Disney but it was also the fact that western TV shows were no longer popular. I grew up watching westerns. Anyway she always refused to go to Disney. Years later, she and her husband and another couple finally took a Disney vacation and they loved it. I was so happy that they gave Disney a chance. Glad you like El Toreo. I live near there and it is a favorite. Have never had a steak at a Mexican restaurant. Thanks for the suggestion!

I like when you go around the Ocala area. My parents l and Aunt and Uncle lived in SummerGlen for 20 years until they moved back to The Triangle area of NC. There are a lot of museum's and parks through out central Florida that you do a great job of covering Tampa Jay.

The plaza entrance and parking lot are the same used by the theme park. One of those locomotives at the farm used to sit in the grassy area where the shopping plaza sign is as advertising just like the caboose at the farm does now. The main park was back behind the current plaza and is mostly housing developments now. If you visit Fat Boys Bar-B-Q on Silver Springs Blvd, they have several nods to the old park including memorabilia on the walls and have named some menu items after the park. Maybe someone else can confirm it, but I was always told that the clock in downtown Ocala was the original clock from the 6 Gun courthouse.

I didn’t know that about fat boys. I went there for lunch a long time ago with my dad. Thank you so much for chiming in very cool. Fun facts.
