Would be really cool if somebody would do this but without bias. There are some really cool skiff manufacturers out there that I assume don't want to pay to be a part of these things.

I own one a 2016 model Dx22 and have had tons of problems. A quick list. Gas tank leaking, latches on front hatch broken, live wells work when they want to, speakers blown, engine stalls at full throttle, seat covers cracked on front seats and rear seat, gauages do not work most of the time. Boat rides great but is put together very poorly. Boat dealer has been ok but seems to put bandaids on problems instead of really fixing the problems. Manufactuar does not answer e-mails sent and tries to cut corners when dealer request parts and ok's on warranty work. At least thats what delear has told me. So my boat was shipped to dealer. The work was completed and then I was hit with, Oh you have to drive to factory and pick your boat up. After dealer promised to have it delivered back to there location. When I arrived at dealer I looked boat over and found the hull underneath was scratced up pretty bad and probably happened when loading or unloading. And of course neither factory or dealer would admit who was responsible. It was determined the gas tank had a hole in it and was replaced. Speaker was fixed. Live well was supposedly fixed but front live well still does not work. Boat still stalls at wide open so anti Siphon valve must of been put back in. Dealer removed it before tank was replaced and it ran good. I received a work order today in the mail from factory which I requested when I picked my boat up and for some reason it was not available and now I know why. They pretty much blamed everything they had to fix on me ( the owner). Go figure. I would not recommend Sundance boats at all they are put together as I stated before very poorly and the factory wants to hide behind a letter and try to blame customer for their lack of workmanship.

Gas tank split on my new Tracker as well and the 75 Merc feels like my old Evinrude 40. Pathetic quality these days and lack of integrity.

Need a Twin Vee Baycat 19 compared to Mako Pro Skiff 19 on choppy water. So many good fishing days are blocked by rough choppy water and wind I must transit to get to the tributaries and good fishing holes.

Don't all of the Carolina skiffs absorb water in the floatation foam in the floors? Also there are not points or company supplied info on how to mount anything. If it saves you movey up front you will pay more for having the boat rebuilt

@1 Atom 12 There are some really nice boats out there... why get hung up on two brands as overrated as Carolina Skiff and Whaler?

@@doug1652 Doug, who would you recommend over Carolina Skiff and Boston Whaler? I'm looking to buy a 19-21 foot skiff this Summer and have been looking at the Carolina Skiff 19DLV or 19LS
@doug16524 жыл бұрын
@1 Atom 12 Couldn't be further from the truth... back in the day sure Whalers were the best boats around. Nowadays there are many, many manufacturers all making even better quality boats than whalers that have better resale values. Contender, Everglades, Freeman, TwinVee, HCB, Regulator, Invincible, Valhalla, and Jupiter just to name a few... are all better boats if you look at build quality. Just ask anyone who repairs boats, they will tell you about the Boston Whaler misconception.

How does the Mako Pro Skiff 19 compare?
@lukemallet9164 жыл бұрын
Irs made by bass pro shop so it doesn't
@bunkman643 жыл бұрын
@@lukemallet916 I have owned the 17 and just purchased the 19. They are SOLD by BPS not MADE by them. BPS owns White River Marine Group which manufactures Mako as well as Nitro and others. I run 15 miles out in 3-4 foot seas and never have a problem. I will put my Mako up against any equal 19 footer you care to bring anywhere, any conditions, any time. Mako has been in business for 55 years and has several award winning hull designs under its belt.
