I will tell you this I am a truck and equipment mechanic that specializes in electrical electronics. And I am very peculiar about any repairs I make . She does one of the cleanest lay outs I have ever seen . Great job

Really like the thinking behind the electronics wiring. It’s teaching me how to aesthetically wire better.

Why did Mako stop making their 17' classic Center Console boat years ago? The 17' Mako a great boat. After watching the Mako segment again I'd say its my favorite of all the boats covered on this segment, simple, reliable, small and fast. Im sure it's a lot of fun for the Dad and the son who fish it.

NHseacoast the sides are so low. It looks dangerous!

Music Islife depends on where you take it.Mako mades the 17' for 40 years and many bay boats 20-30' length today have low gunwales or sides similar to this boat.

NHseacoast I guess they would be ok in a bay, they wouldn't be very useful where I live though (Tasmania).

That Mako 17 is nearly as nice a boat as my 1975 Aquasport 170 & its 2000 Yamaha 115hp 😊😁👍

BEAUTIFUL BOAT GUYS, LOVE IT. PERFECT SIZE AND YOU'RE GETTING 53 MPH OUT OF IT. THAT'S FAST FOR A 17 FOOTER. BE CAREFUL. YOU CAN EASILY BE THROWN OUT AT THAT SPEED AND YOU ARE DONE. MAKE SURE TO INSTAL A KILL SWITCH THAT ATTACHES TO YOU SO IF TOSSED AROUND OR OUT THE ENGINE WILL SHUT DOWN. I'M TOTALLY JEALOUS, HAVE FUN‼️‼️🛳⛴. Vinny 🇺🇸
