Javante Mackey suffered a season ending injury during spring practices. That may have played a part in us getting Elijah Herring once he decided to transfer. We switched to the 3-3-5 in the bowl game when Hankins took over after Barnes was hired by Mississippi State. But I wouldn't say it's a pure 3-3-5 as there were some plays where we had 4 linemen. I look forward to seeing how well we hold up against FSU.

Ingram makes a fair point with the drops. Critical drive killing drops.

Membphis has a notorious reputation as making a back up QB look good. One thing of note, they got a new defensive coordinator for their bowl game and held Iowa St to ZERO yards rushing. They seem to either make a big play or give one up alot. I guess they know they aren't gonna stop alot of teams so may as well blutz and gamble anyway. As much as Hennigan is a great QB, they still like to use the run game to open up the passing game, so stopping the run is a must for florida state. Memphis had some issues with drops themselves last year. Not sure about this year, but it's basically the same offense minus the offensive line. FSU needs to get an early lead of mkre than 2 TDs, as Memphis came from behind many times last year and isn't afraid when they get down. If Memphis has the lead, their defense is fully capable of giving up the kead quickly. I think this game comes down to turnovers, and whichever team is better at converting red zone opportunities into TDs and not FGs. I have more trust in Seth Hennigan than any other player on the field, so i think Memphis wins 37-34.

To beat Memphis the LBs will need to play focused and not get crazy eyes chasing Memphis’ window dressing. I doubt that will happen and Memphis will slice us up like Swiss cheese.

Ingram will do fine with the Battles End. I’m the minority with this opinion but I believe there was a conflict of interest between this show and TBE. Transparent analysis was lacking and appeared to be more biased/unwilling to critique players, program. Changed a lot from over the years. Good time to part ways. Players get paid and difficult analysis and criticism is needed. The comment on how DJ has not played poor is a ridiculous statement to make. He has been objectively horrid and is apparently making North of 800,000.

Im starting bwcome despondent with our program. As a fan, im starting to get despondent with all of CFB to be honest. We cant even expect to become a fan of players because they or may not even stick around with a school. Players just come and go like the wind. Recruits flip and play games constantly based on a schools current momentum with no loyalty whatsoever to an actual school. How can coaches build a program in this environment? Its trash. The give it to me now, instant gratification mindset of society at large has taken CFB hostage now and im afraid it all being ruined.

Y’all need to lay off the alcohol… nothing about this team indicates that they are capable of eclipsing 30 points. “If” they win it’s going to be more like 17-14 or 20-17. Memphis dropping 40 is more likely than FSU dropping 30

The only hope they have is Memphis has the worst defense FSU has faced. Maybe they can score against it. If Memphis can't run, that will also be a key.
