FSU got a number of penalties called on them that were VERY questionable. (plus a number of them that should have been called!) In contrast, there were extreme few penalties that FSU committed - that the refs missed. Meanwhile, whenever the refs called deserved penalties on Virginia, the whole VA stadium and their sideline cried like babies. For example, the pass interference call on VA at the end was 100% valid - and the unsportsmen-like conduct against their coach was also proper. That FSU got a 30 year gain off VA penalties at the end of the game - was totally VA's fault. They deserved those penalties.

What a battle between two impressive teams. FSU got some stuff to work out internally since they aren't utilizing all of that talent they have. Their coaches need to get control over their players, too many unnecessary penalties. UVA more disciplined and ultimately got them the win. Dude, I’m a uva fan. I’ve seen some bad/one sided officiating, blamed refs-we all have. In 15 years of watching ACC basketball and football I’ve never EVER seen such a horribly called game. I knew it was going to be ugly when an FSU player ran into UVAs punter right in front of a ref and no flag, Bryce Perkins got hit hard 3 whole seconds after he downed the ball and no flag. It was so bad. You could actually clearly tell the refs tried to keep the game going. The game was over when we stopped them on 3rd and long with 2 mins left then a mystery flag comes out of nowhere. Every QB on the planet misses throws. Yes even wide open throws. Blackman is part of the Solution, NOT part of the problem. This man is hitting on 70% of his throws this year. Y'all kill me with y'all assessments. The problem is Discipline, Defenders not being able to disengage from blockers (all 3 levels), offensive & defensive scheming. Our 4 defensive linemen have Defensive Tackle bodies. Every snap they all try to use their strength to push the O-line into the QB. They don't have any techniques to beat their adversary. Lastly our coaches suck at Making on-the-field adjustments. Briles should've incorporated Cam into the scheme heavily in the 3 quarter as he was gaining substantial yards. It would've also assisted in resting our defense. That's on Taggert as well for not processing the situation and Demanding to Briles that our focus should shift to more running plays.

The 3-4 is not very effective against a mobile qb. When the three down linemen are crunched up at the line of scrimmage and LB's are in coverage the qb can really gash a defense on the edge. I think they did pretty good containing Perkins for the most part. He has definitely gained more yards against other teams with his legs.

The refs made sure that Virginia won this game. I saw several none call for FSU, and several questionable calls for Virginia. Also, FSU struggled at home against ULM, so that would tend to say that Virginia ain't sh*t. Sorry, but facts from an unbiased fan.

...also, there should have been 2 seconds added to the clock at the end. When he caught the ball for the first down there was 6 seconds left and the Virginia clock manager allowed it to runs 2 second before he stopped the clock. Cheating.

@@kangolsublife5943 No coaches dont play, but they are responsible for getting the team in shape physically and prepared mentally. They also need to be competent enough to adjust an ineffective gameplan, and know basic game management. When a talented team underperforms, that's on the coaches.

Florida's schedule is so weak. You'll probably get up to 5-0 once you've eaten your cupcakes, but I really, truly don't believe the Gators are much better than FSU right now. Gators are *maybe* a top 25 team if they improve over the season but right now I see the Gators at #30-35 in the country with FSU at #40-45. Both of FSU's losses were 7 point losses to teams currently undefeated and in the top 25, while the Gators won't play a ranked team until October. Not to mention being one of only 4 teams with 3 bye weeks and (I believe) the ONLY team in the FBS to schedule TWO FCS teams.
