Anybody else done a cross country trip? How many days it took you? I'm curious to know!

27k miles of road trips in model Y + 5k in Chevy Bolt in two years. It takes me about 2.5 days to travel between Boise and Shreveport (about 1900 miles). I usually stay at hotels with level 2 charging, but have used camp mode at trailheads in Arches NP & canyon lands NP. Nothing like a sunrise hike to a beautiful arch to start your day! Camp mode is also awesome for staying in RV parks and getting that level 2 charge overnight.

⁠@@brendykes1202man that sounds like fun! Hotels do help a lot, it's really nice coming with like 15% and leaving full in the morning. My next video I'm making I'm showing my camping setup, we under up using a twin mattress from IKEA that happens to work best hahha

I went from Fountain Valley, CA to Sebastian, FL (2607 miles + a few miles to find gas stations and restaurants at exits) in 41 hours driving by myself with one 3 hour nap at a rest stop in the FL panhandle. Had I not already been up for about 10 hours prior to departure, I could have skipped the nap and, if I had avoided rush hour traffick getting out of Orange County, I probably could have trimmed another 2 hours off my time. Of course, I was driving an ICE vehichle and could never have made the trip in an EV in anywhere near that short a period.

@@Roman.the.explorer Well, I had to get gas about every 250 miles or so since my car only gets 20 mpg. So, I got a quick leg stretch every 4 hours.

At least you can point out Teslas flaws, my die hard Elon friend will deny everything you mentioned. Unless the range improves along with the charging I find this cross country trip to be inconvenient. Pretty car tho.

Haha yeah, it does have flaws but if you can live with them it's a great car. Next one I'll get with longer range and an off-road car for trips haha

What’s the lowest percent you dropped to, and has it ever completely died on you? I really hate the phantom braking as well! I have to ride with my foot on the gas to gas it right away. That way I don’t get slammed from behind. Was the shot from El Mirage the same day we did our video?

Oh man, I had it down to 0% percent once at the hotel literally. At night it was 6% and it was cold and in the morning it showed 0 lol I drove like that 1 mile to the mall and was able to charge there. Haha and that shot from El Mirage was right after we were done shooting, yes!
