Holly Hill is a nice quiet community to live in it's cleaned up a lot in the past few years

Holly Hill "Holy Hell" is alright. I'm in a quiet area on 8th Street with nice homes, but I know I can find "the hood" a few blocks away. Doesn't bother me - everyone seems okay regardless of where I go around here. Not a bad place to live all things considered. Edit: Funny, I commented before watching the video and a few minutes into it you drove right past my house:)

Moving to Ormond Beach/Daytona area. I was told Holly Hill is Holy Hell and to stay away……but this is why one needs to do your own analysis’. Holly Hell alright wit me cus I’ve definitely seen worse!!!!

Interesting concept for a video series. :) I found this video because we just sold a house in South Daytona and bought one in Holly Hill. Until we found this house, we just assumed what we heard about Holy Hell was true. But, we drove around like you did and found it (most of it) to be sorta' quaint. Old, yes, but generally not trashy. Ridgewood Ave. (Rt. 1) seems a bit more trashy through HH than through the adjoining towns, but not by much. You missed the "slum" part you were looking for, but also missed some of the particularly nice areas, too. We are not ashamed to call Holly Hill home.

Ty! I just left Port Orange to come over to Holly Hill and I don’t find it that bad..

I know this area pretty good. The reason I’m looking to move in the Ormond/Port Orange/Palm Coast area is because my parents have a double wide we visit a few times a year in a 55 and above community here. It’s gated and it’s nice inside the community. Problem I find with this area is I see a lot of police activity, like a lot!!! Driving around I find one road to be nice and then the next one is sketchy af!!! School ratings last I looked were a 2/10, but then again I don’t know how accurate those are because I think where I live now it’s low and I think the schools are good. There’s a Walmart off of nova road and they have the cops in the parking lot constantly. I think they have one of those lot cop camera things lol. It could be great there. It has the potential for sure. The location is great to the beach and the track. Shops, restaurant, etc. My personal opinion is it’s a little run down, but from some of the other areas you have shown, it’s definitely not horrible. Thanks for showing it. Looking forward to more videos!

Jose, I have a personal request for you, I want to rely on your opinion as a local resident. I am choosing a plot for building a private house. Which do you like more Punta Gorda, North Port or Port Charlotte, or is there no difference?
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS3 жыл бұрын
Punta Gorda BY FAR is better. PC and NP.. i would say NP however NOT along the us41 area you wanna be north of 75 where its rural. Us41 is trash don’t be near it. PC has good areas too the ones with canals on the west side. Englewood is nice too. Burnt store marina as well. Just dont be anywhere near us41

@jose , try a ''queen palm tree in alabama , i am not in florida anymore . i only bought one . i wish , i bought more . majesty palm , can survive a little freeze . but look bad , after the freeze , and you have cut ss them back , and they start growing again . so far kissimmee , looked the best . compared to lehigh acres , which and these other cities seem to lack a lot of decent stores . p.s. peach trees look a lot like mango trees .

Jose. love your videos. I am from dayton ohio which is basically daytona beach with out the ocean lol. I lived in Daytona and holly hill in my 20's i love the area and have gone back often I made great friends there while living on the corner of ridgewood and Madison ave in Daytona. Is it a trashy area? Sure some places are just like anywhere else but i would rather live in the hood with the real people than anywhere else.

I moved from Port orange because PO offers u nothing nothing except stuck up elitists. who have plenty of homeless people . Holly Hill is a wonderful place to lives Any town has commercial areas . WHY DONT U TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE MANSIONS WITH UNOSTURED VIES OF THE HALFAX RIVER These home are worth in the millions with beautiful parks spotlessly clean and friendly . that isRiverside Rd where a codon is priced at $300 for a one bedroom ALSO check out The Holy Hill Town hall this is a magnificent building u should also mention Sugar Mill Garden's it is awesome for peace and serenity. i will grant u that US1 does mot look good a lot of rundown motels but the city intends to knock down all of them , the location Holly Hilli is ideal and close to the Beach ST Bridge . The Waterfront on Beech street is being refurbished and Beach St is thriving because there are many restaurants and many choices of food option with many offering outside dining, the library an jackie robinson park is awesome Holly hill is the best kept secret
