Jose, the old retired people earned their right to sit in their garage. When I was growing up in Ohio people were always sitting out on their porches and 2 ft high walls gabbing with the neighbors, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes while their kids were out playing. That was how it should be now. Talking to your neighbors, keeping an eye out on their neighborhoods. There is nothing wrong with them sitting in their garage. I really like what you do but this one was kind of a put down on older people. I am one of those. I am 65. Retired. Sit on my porch or garage. Have a wonderful day young man ❤

I just moved from North Port. They're recovering from Ian, still. There's a small, probably 6 block area with older, unkept homes. Other than that, North Port is a very nice smaller city, A rated schools, low crime and average home price of $390-400k. We moved to Parrish bc of my husband's job. Also, the campers are being lived in because they lost everything in Ian. You're coming off like a Karen talking about street parking and elderly sitting outside. 😂
@varkgirl9 ай бұрын
Tell me you know nothing about North Port without telling me you know nothing about North Port. People are living in their campers becasue of Hurricane Ian. Our city was completely devastated by that storm. We had HORRIBLE flooding, which is why new houses are built up to those elevations. Also, the city vehicles are looking for vehicles parked in the right of way, because a new city ordinance has made that against the law. ALSO, people don't call the "county" about issues, they call the city. You complain about neglected properties, then you complain about a dumpster when someone is cleaning up a property... ALSO, the Warm Mineral Springs motel looks like that because it is a registered historical building...

I used to live in North Port. The homeless come out of the woods and attack people regularly. Some get dragged into the woods and are never found. We would always stay away from the tree line but we could hear twigs cracking and stuff from the homeless people watching us and following us. Some of them only come out every 23 years and will eat for 23 days. If you're smart you will be relatively safe but there are stories all the time about them. People sit in their garages and driveways day and night without sleep just to try and ward them off. Some offer up a camper in exchange for protection. It's $20 to get into the fountain of youth because when it was free the homeless would crowd it like crazy. One of them named Jason drowned there and some say they see him walking around with a machete. When the hurricane came through it actually released a wild candyman into the town which is yet another reason not to move there.

When the camper is finished I am going to move into it and travel. I can afford to live in the place I am living , but I prefer to live in a camper. I am 69 years old. You talk a lot of trash about a lot of people. Like the time you did a video on Moon Lake. You dissed those people bad. I have a few biker friends that live in there. Actually their clubhouse is in Moon Lake. It isn't good to talk trash about the people in there. That could get you hurt. In most of your videos you talk a lot of trash about people. You should put a disclaimer on your vids quoting this is all your opinion and fact less! #1 Lots of RV's next to house was very common after Hurricane Ian. Folks living in them as thats all they got not due to homelessness as you guess but do that their house is still a hot mess from the storm. They may still be waiting for insurance/contractor or whatever reasons they have. Coming up on 2 years and lots of folks are still displaced! You even show a house with a blue roof on your vid.. Do you think they like the color blue for a roof.. ? #2 Warm Mineral Springs area is in "un-incorporated" sarasota county..NOT NORTH PORT. You show many things and not so nice house's and yes there are some in that area but again that is not NORTH PORT. The City does a great job of keeping tabs on property owners for trash and such. There is even an app to "Report" things so as you say the "OLD People" don't have to call the county.. and there again your wrong as in the city... the county does not respond its the city.. So folks if your reading this .. this guys is sooo wrong he thinks he's right.. I've typed enough as I don't want this persons algorithm to show any positive numbers!!!

The Bill amended Section 252.363(1)(a), Florida Statutes, to allow for an extension of twenty-four (24) months, instead of six (6) months, plus the length of time the state of emergency for a natural disaster is in effect. From Ian. There is a specific permit required. But people displaced or their homes being worked on (because of Ian), could be staying in their RV. Florida Governor Signs SB 250 into Law. Which was very helpful to many people who’s homes were destroyed throughout FL. This lasts until September 2025, I believe it is. So yes there are people in their RV’s living at the moment.. My daughters neighbor has their relatives in one on their property for this very reason. I’m surprised you don’t know this.

North Port has the best schools in the state of Florida, I think you forgot to mention that, you forgot to mention that North port is the part of Sarasota County, which is one of the richest county in the state of Florida. I think you also forgot to mention that North port just added a downtown which is called Welland Park. which brought on numerous of businesses, gorgeous homes and amazing dining ,activities for kids. I have seen area's in NP which were very nice and then just a short distance it gets pretty rough. Folks hanging out in garages and staring at folks going by is quite unsettling, there is a differance between just sitting outside versus checking out each pass by. Our plan was to move to SW Fl early 2019, primarilly in Sarasota or LWR area. Unfortunately the pandemic changed everything. Now we just visit and stay at Sun Resorts off Fruitvile Rd. As an old, retiree living the good life in paradise I hear what you're saying about nosey people! What a pain they can be but it isn't us retirees who are the problem, it's the nosey people. Also a problem are those people parking wherever and leaving debris all over the place, they hurt surrounding property values. Unfortunately people who dislike rules, want freedom from HOAs and neighborhood cleanliness buy in places where they can get more property to live the way they want to live. I live in a well manicured community because I thought about my retirement. I kept my parents from buying into a "retirement community" because it was under construction and would be...for the next five years! They hadn't bothered to think about what their view would be like after they were done (there would be none) and the constant dust & debris isn't a retirement life! @@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that's good. You didn't have to worry about changes much. It's stressful when you have people that immigrated here close. You get in all kinds of fights back and forth. That's just one thing I have to deal with. There are so many I want to be an immigrant to another country myself.

Hurricane and insurance issues have halted repairs so folks are staying in rv's. Inflation. Shows the state of the entire country right now.😢

1. Nosy old people😂 will address those trailer situations and more. 2. That is why buying a lot amongst a bunch of other lots is risky when not everyone is gonna build right away

It's safe to live but it depends on what side of North Port your on lol I have been here since 1990 a lot of stuff has changed and the first house you showed. They don't live in their RV lol I do his ac lol

The times are pushing many to live in RV’s in driveways. You can also drive in the “roads to nowhere” off of Wilshire and find many tents on empty lots in the trees. Good eye btw! I thought I was the only one noticing the tiny things going on that isn’t being spoken much about

Your talking about the old people being nosey. But your the one driving around with a camera showing everyone's property and giving information out about the neighborhood..So who's the nosy one? Look in a mirror buddy.

We never had air conditioning at all when I lived in East Fort Myers, let alone central. Many people didn't have AC back then. We did have fans and we left the widows open.

In 75 there were just not many houses in North Port. Those old ones you are showing look about like the one we stayed in back in 75.

Most of the motorhomes are people living in them still fixing up their houses from Ian it was flooded in the area and some houses got wet on the inside and people didn't have insurance so it's taking them a while to get back to normal the neighborhood is fine the rising Sun shutters are on and the houses are grown up is because the people are out of town for 6 months and then they come back that old building has been like that since I moved here 7 years ago
