I spent 26 years in El Paso Texas. Trans mountain Road has a purpose, to connect Anthony New Mexico to El Paso instead of traveling Interstate 10 around the mountains to the South or going North to Anthony Gap. Also I was in El Paso when they were blasting through the mountain for the construction of the road. And El Paso had a small earthquake because of it.

As you're driving over Transmountain you'll be primarily looking into NEW Mexico. Mexico is further south. Otherwise cool video.
