I have loved that area most of my life. We did a lot of herping in the 70s there. In the description is the Gaia GPS track.

Clay here, the trail was a lot of fun. Parts were super dusty with no breeze, so following distances increased to about a quarter mile at times. With years of off-roading experience under my belt I learned that tools, common used spare parts, tire plugs, jumper cables or jump box and, a full recover gear set-up are important for a stress free adventure.

I often tend to plan out trails that pass somewhere that has a camping area or restrooms. A lot of the wildlife management areas have restrooms scattered within them and that makes for a nice and comfortable trail ride.

Tate’s Hell and the Apalachicola National Forest is a great place to explore. I’ve been several times and the last time we entered the forest in Eastpoint and drove all the way through to Tallahassee.

Lots of time there as a kid. The first time I heard the Tate’s Hell story it was by a master storyteller. We were under a bridge in the Forrest hunting for snakes for FSU.

We use mainly CB, but have handheld low watt ham radios. Cell phones are used when needed too. I plan on outfitting both our JKs with GMRS in the near future for a fourth communications platform.

Hello. .. Thanks for all the time and effort you spend making these videos. I really like the way all of you explore the areas. Great that you inform on closed trails and practice leave no trace and tread lightly. I would love to tag along on a weekend ride some weekend and pick. Your brain. But I will tell you I’m leaving a dust trail if I see a snake around! Lol…………….. Keep up the great work! Btw I’m in the Brooksville area….

How's it going brother? I know I'm late on this but I just found out about y'all. That breakfast station y'all stopped at is a favorite of my family. I live in Sopchoppy just a couple miles south of Tates Hell. My family and I go here every weekend to just ride and explore. We love it out there, especially Crooked River and Womack Creek. Sunday Rollover is also a great area alongside Rock Landing. The reason you're finding gates in certain areas of the forest, is because the state decided to close off a lot of the trails and turned them into a private trail for horseback and OHV. It's a darn shame but that's the reality.

Clogged air cleaner usually causes the Ecm to back down the fuel in the A/F ratio which will cause a slight lean condition this leading to higher engine operating temps.

@@FloridaJeepRides IDK how the 3.8 is but the 3.6 is a hot running engine by design
@FloridaJeepRides
@FloridaJeepRides Жыл бұрын
It runs at the half way point most of the time. For me in the 2007 Red Jeep I had some issues and replaced the radiator because a small stick stabbed it in Ocala. The fan also went out over time all easy to fix.
@Ephesians-yc3xe
@Ephesians-yc3xe Жыл бұрын
@@FloridaJeepRides Do the early Jks have a buffered guage and if so can you go in and pull up the actual temp like you can on the later ones? One thing a lot of people don't ever think of when it comes to cooling your engine is coolant. Over time it becomes acidic and that eats plastic. With the majority of radiators today having plastic end caps, acidic coolant is usually the reason, at I think, for a lot of failures at least where there is plastic involved.
