I have lived almost my entire life in Florida, and I can tell that the Florida mud is easy to get stuck in and so is the sand. You just can’t get any traction, no matter what kind of tires you have. This rig made it because it’s a fairly light weight vehicle with over sized tires. I’ve seen dirt bikes stuck so deep in mud that they had to be winched out. Never go out alone.

I believe him, when I sold real estate it was not uncommon for buyers to follow the process from clearing to completion! And I can tell you from experience that Florida ground will lure you way back in the sticks dry ( except sugar sand ) and then be completely impassable when wet! I drove a full time 4x4 Durango with BFG km2 ats and unless it was deep and soupy I was fine! I also know how to wheel and this was a 2004 Durango without all the Nannie’s that the new ones have that lock you from turning off traction control without it coming back on when you don’t want it! I also had a winch and a rule, if I didn’t have anything to winch from I wasn’t attempting something where I knew I might need the winch!

The Trail Hawk lifted a lot of wheel, but followed us through some seriously rocky terrain. Eventually, one of the tires was the failure point on a shaley uphill on the climb out. But, gave me some respect. Not all Cherokees are equipped the same though.

Got stuck with company truck on a red clay road , well a trail under high voltage transmission lines. We were contracted to inspect poles but it was wet and afternoon showers had it very slick. Driving a Chevy truck full time 4×4 mud tires but narrow. We went down for good just before quitting time. It rained all night and next day several Santee Cooper trucks arrived , one driver heading off pavement on power line trail. I didn't know those bucket / line trucks are all wheel drive, or at least this one was. Ten wheels spinning , he crept along before stopping a short distance then carefully backing out , ten wheels spinning the opposite way. Then back on Terra asphalta he started paying out cable that one , then two and so on started pulling ourselves joining in , but not believing , near enough cable was available to reach work truck a quarter mile or more under lines. Yes there was and I soon was thanking them back on paved hwy.

We gave him some gas & turned his Stupid ass around before he caused serious injury or death to himself or his family . Be real people , and stay outta these scenarios.
