Damn… I subbed off of you letting the solo lawn care man make it. That’s a solid on your character

Once I explained to my $45 per cut customer that they are not saving money by not letting me maintain the yard once per month in December, January & February they understand. Those 3 months is a total of $135 and a cleanups are $125 minimum, (and can be more) so for the $10 difference their yard can look good for 3 months especially during Christmas, New Year's and Valentine's Day and most are onboard.

Also it might have drippings from the Ac units that keep it wet over there regularly. Could recommend a aeration, plants, more (soil with sand mix possibly) ask the customer themselves since it’s there home does it puddle there normally! Bring it to there attention so if any ruts come from mower you’ve offered solutions and and brought the urgency there. But by no means will the company be doing the hardest thing and that’s taking care of backyard without mower❌

I’ve started doing market piercing pricing too. I just ordered a ton of door hangers with $40 weekly cut pricing filled in and I’ve been dropping them off all week. I hadn’t heard of anyone else doing it but it made sense. I’m glad to have confirmation though!

I appreciate your comment about the oak leaves. They are big here in the FL panhandle. I keep upselling leaf cleanups and educating customers that a leaf cleanup is not included in the regular pricing. I still have customers giving me the ole “this is unacceptable” when they see there are still leaves in the yard. 😂😂

I think a 32-36" walk behind or time-master would be ideal for those soggy conditions. A stander is just way too heavy at 800+ lbs plus my weight on it. I'm actually looking at a walk-behind as a back-up / spring mower during the spring...lawns are just way too soggy and my stander rutting these yards up big time. Customer is ok, but not fine by my standards.

Could also be an electrocution hazard if their is any damaged cables that contact water. You touch them and won't be pretty

Love the content Quick question ever tried using a non trailer setup, if so what are your thoughts?

Yes, I ran a trailerless setup for a couple years. Worked great for that time in business.

Love the footage out working. For your monthly services, do you charge the same price that you do biweekly? I have five or six clients that do monthly service with me, but I just charge them the same price that I charge for biweekly mowing in the growing season. I have found there are some months when there are a lot of leaves and it seems to be a little more work to mulch up, etc. I only gave them that price as a way to put my foot in the door for monthlyand have been thinking next season I will raise prices on monthly.
