Hello, all my lawncare brothers and friends. Jonathan, I'm very grateful for all of the great content on lawncare that you share on your videos. I may have somewhat of a not-so-unique situation to share that, perhaps, some lawncare guys are dealing with. That is, an aortic aneurysm condition. It was discovered in my ascending aorta about 3 years ago. What the Lord laid on my heart this morning in that regard is how I might need to go forward with my solo lawncare business. Since putting out full exertion in stifling hot summer heat is always a factor in every lawn that we take care of, I'm beginning to grasp that I probably should start seeking out lawns that take the shortest amount of time and eventually give away lawns/properties that take an hour or more to complete -especially those where I'm going full tilt for up to two hours at a time. I think that's a sensible conclusion considering the condition I'm trying to manage. I wonder if any of you have thoughts on that? Perhaps getting enough sleep and eating better is a buttress against any increasing problems in that area. Love you guys, and God bless.

I'm glad to see yards like this. I swear everyone posts videos with their best yards and I start to think why are my yards crap. they cant all be good. this one is the average lawn in my area

Bro... they all have crappy yards too. They just lying. Keep doing you.

Great advice. I will definitely say driving too much will definitely cut into the amount of money you can make. Being solo I’m usually in the 8-10 yards a day pricing and keeping those jobs close together is key. Hang in there guys it really works don’t give up.

Great video, I understand the math I'm not up to 200 but I know it's possible you're just getting the right yards and doing it right amount of time. Thanks

I did lawn care for 15 years as a side hustle. I went full time for one season then went into a divorce had to shut it down I miss it. And I’m planning on starting back up and coming off the road as a truck driver. I’m going to look into your class so I can fast track it.

Its funny, I watched your other video and you basically drew it out on a power point on how you attacked a yard weed eating the most proficient way. I watched you in this video and you did the exact same way lol...nice!

The easiest way to get your routes tight is saying "No" to jobs that require more drive time. It took a few years to get to the point we are now but we have 200 mowing accounts. The crew averages about 2- 3 minutes driving in-between each yard unless they are right next to each other. Taking on jobs that are 10- 20-30+ minutes out of the way is an opportunity cost killer especially if you are paying employees to drive. Keeping your routes tight is key!!

I added an extra charge per service for dog waste, most customers started picking it up, but I'm not at the point yet where I can drop or turn down anyone because its excessive yet. Hopefully sometime in the future. Also, I enjoyed Turf Pros Academy.

#FACTS I have about 65 in the downtown area local to me. And I can do them in roughly 4hrs 2guys. Money making day. There stacked up and can move the truck twice during them all. Just a random guy who is doing the same thing. And it works. We do it 4 days a week 2 guys and 50-60k a month. So it’s possible guys.

I’m in Dothan, AL and picked up a few yards on the side. I’m a CPA so I’ve watched a lot of your videos about efficiency. I always end up taking about the same amount of time to weedeat, edge, and blow as I do mowing. I.e if it takes 20 minutes to mow it takes that long to do the other. Any thoughts on this? Maybe another video? I can get a faster mower that would definitely decrease that time, but not sure how to decrease the other any more. I guess I’m just asking what is expected and what could I cut out that wouldn’t be cutting corners too much.

The thing I struggle with is how the customer agrees to a weekly cut for $45 on that kind of yard. I don't know if I could cut that lawn knowing it probably didnt have to be cut for another week. Please someone knock some business acumen into me.

I deal with a certain amount of it… just comes with job. If it’s excessive I’ll ask client to pick up. If it doesn’t get better I drop the yard.
