Thank you Morgan. I am a beginner and am waiting for delivery of that specific floss drop. You have just saved me hours of struggle trying to figure all that out.

Congratulations on a great first floss tube! Your demonstration was so well done. I use floss drops but hadn't seen this type. I love the idea of slipping the label on rather than writing the number. Planning to order some to try. Thank you for this video and good luck with future ones. You are off to a great start.

Morgan, this was an excellent video! I love the way you braid your floss! I am sure that it makes it much easier to put it in the little floss storage book. I do have a lot of floss, so the little baggie method would not work for ne. However, I use my well washed butter plastic container ers to hold my floss by groups of numbers in each container. I write the floss range on the top with black magic marker. God luck on your flosstubes! MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.

Congrats on your first flosstube! Nicely done! I REALLY like how you’ve seriously taken into consideration just how much space you realistically have for storage of hobby materials in your home. You are a wonderful example of how one can enjoy a hobby without having supplies take over living spaces. Purchasing just what you need for a project and keeping the number of projects to a bare minimum is wise. I had to chuckle when you showed your acrylic floss drops. I discovered those a few months ago and thought them brilliant. Had I not already switched my entire inventory of threads to Annie’s Keepers (which are somewhat similar) I would have considered them for storage. Keep filming…I throughly enjoy your style!

Hi Morgan, Can you make a video that shows a good way to organize the floss drops where the colors are easy to find I like the advantages of the drop floss and I want to switch but I have over 400 to 500 DMC colors at the ready. To store the floss drops on a ring is too project specific. I need the system to be able to adapt to any WIP I have in front of me and be able to easily select any color.

Hi Morgan. Congratulations on your first floss tube video. I was super excited to see that you use these floss drops as I've been interested in them but haven't purchased them yet. I will be getting them now. I love the idea of braiding the floss and will be giving that a try also. I prep my floss the same but I start with the other end and leave the numbered label in place and hold that in my hand while finding the other end and it doesn't knot on me just fyi if you want to try it. Good luck with your channel and looking forward to future videos. Happy stitching.

Awesome video!!! The DMC floss drops are a great idea. Can you tell me where you got the little binder? Hope you make more videos!!!
@justmorganstitching2 жыл бұрын
I got the binder from Hobby Lobby, but most craft stores sell a version of them! This particular one doesn't hold a lot of floss, but is perfect for smaller stashes. I will share the link. www.hobbylobby.com/Yarn-Needle-Art/Cross-Stitch/Floss-Thread/Floss-Organizer-Binder/p/80891252

Those floss drops are really nice. But my question is how do you keep your floss clean. I have every color that DMC makes and I have them stored in little rectangular baggies. With the number on a little label in the top left corner. So they stay clean and untangled. When I’m using one if the colors, I put it into a snack size baggie and put a hole in the top left of the bag, put them on a ring also in numerical order and go stitch. Years ago at a garage sale I came across a square wooden box with a clasp lid and it was perfect for my floss baggies. My husband took some thin plastic and made dividers so they would stay in little cubes and not flop all over the place. I would not want my floss exposed to the light as that will make it fade. So how do you store yours.
@justmorganstitching2 жыл бұрын
I use the zip baggies as well! I purposefully do not keep much floss. I only buy the colors when a pattern calls for them, so I do not have much to store. I use a small binder for my baggies.

I can't seem to find your binder in the UK, do you have any idea where I might be able to find one? Does it have a specific name?

Mine is just a generic brand, but Floss-A-Way and Sullivans offer the binders as well. Best of luck!
