I totally agree with you, but honestly, it's true that the majority of musical productions nowadays use samples, this is not bad, it is rather interresting artistically. Even musicians like Gotye used samples for "Somebody".

it is his own work, Sampling is creating a piece from a section (or sections) of a song or group of songs to create a completely different song. Sampling is apart of EDM AND hip hop. Most people use it as a tribute or a recreation of a style of music they lie with their own twist to it. This is a recreation of something he was inspired by and became it's own entity. Most ACTUAL artists usually find this as a form of flattery....unless the song to them is garbage. (Flo-rida/ Jason Derulo)

Anyone saying Hardstyle isn't related to Trap is ridiculous. Play a Hardstyle song -> cut it to half time -> add triplet 808 and hats -> boom you've got "Trap". Plus, they got famous with their Original Don (which is heavily influenced by Hardstyle) remix like last winter... Say what you will about this new EDM Trap, but the reason for its over saturation goes to the fact that it's really effing dope.

It's a remix. It's what flosstradamus does. And people hate on it, but the bottom line is there's people that would rather hear things made into trap then the genre they were originally. Just a matter of preference. And theyre not making any money off the music they put out, it's just so people can enjoy it. So if there's people enjoying the flosstradamus version of something, for free, whats wrong with that? They make money off shows they do and play this music, but thats just being a DJ

yeah, floss has oversampled hardstyle, Twark, Underground, Drak Knight, Mota, and UR Life are all stolen hardstyle songs. exactly, This is about to completely blow out Dubstep soon. to back you up on the Hardstyle isn't related to trap part (I'm an old hardstyle fan btw): Some hardstyle tracks before at synth line (if it's nu-style) or before it goes into another screech/scratch/hoover lead line ("old school"/dutch/italo) they would often go to half time and have a brief Hip hop-esque beat. if not sound like it's going to turn into a hip hop beat at that point. The best example of this is Flossy's track "MOTA"

Last time I remember, The Colour of the Harder Styles didn't sound like this. There is such a thing called sampling. In hip-hop, it's called beat flipping - which this is. They flipped the beat and made it all their own. Everyone needs to stop whining and saying that they stole this because they didn't.

wow..dunno what to make of this, colours of the harderstyle was one my favourite tunes to run to back in the day. It IS a very well put together remix. However, the melody in COH is absoulutley BEASTLY but i dont think it was exploited enough in this mix. i think i still prefer the original. that being said though, the first song by flosstradamus i havent loved :)
