Wonderful first floss tube! Always like to check out floss tubes that are brand new and start following at the start of their journey. Your stitching is so beautiful! I also don't like having a lot of WIPs, I tend to start getting them mixed up! I like to see lots of progress on one rather than a little progress on a lot😁. Looking forward to your next video.

Your first flosstube was phenomenal.I look forward to meeting you at a future Stitch North Retreat. Also, I am friends with Karen, The Stitching Owl, so we get to stitch together fairly regularly. For a brief moment, I was envious of your in person relationship with Arica, Fibers and Floss Canada. LOL Hopefully I can meet her in person one day, as well as Samantha. Gathering stitchy friends is one of the best parts of cross stitching, isn't it? I subscribed and am already looking forward to your next video.

Fantastic first Flosstube, I’m so glad Pam & Steph linked to it! I had heard two others flosstubers mention you, but was having trouble finding you, I’m old and not all that tech savvy, lol. Your book finish is superb and the stitched piece inside is stunning! My other favorite is the Lenarte kit you plan to gift to your mom, the fabric really shows off the stitching beautifully. I sincerely hope you do continue with Flosstube, even if it’s not on a regular monthly schedule, though that would be great! I love Arica as well and never miss an episode. I’m sure she was more than happy to help you get started! Happy New Year, happy stitching, and I hope to see you soon!

That Lanarte lady is amazing, I cannot wait to see progress on her. I was amazed by how well that small painting reproduction looks: you are right, that small finish looks excellent, it would be a shame not to have your own such finish. I love your idea for finishing it, but I am also impressed with the painting rendition, so I will look for this pattern on etsy. Happy stitching!

I have been wanting to stitch something like that but haven’t figured out how to create a chart like that. Would love to get some input from you on how you created the chart. Sat Sri Akal Sumira, thank you for the kind words. My Nani really did love her present and has it hanging in her room all the time. As for creating the chart, I used Pic2Pat to convert the image and played around with the sizing of the chart until it had the level of detail I wanted (bigger size means more detail). I also stitched it on a higher count Aida (I think it was 22). If you are going to use Pic2Pat the last tip I would give is to try and find an image that doesn't have too many tiny details, they don't covert into the pattern well. I hope that helps!

Thank you for the kind message! That design is a kit from Lanarte called Traditional Reminiscence. I bought the kit from an online shop in Europe.
