Here goes! You are my favorite FlossTuber!! I’ve decided to watch all your videos in chronological order (with the exception of any new videos which I excitedly anticipate!) 💗 Thank you for the ongoing inspiration! I’ve started a couple of new cross stitch patterns that you have stitched. I also knit and crochet, garden and can. I have been widowed twice. I have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Happy stitching! 🧵 💗

Hi Barbara!!! It is so nice to meet you!!!!! And thank you for the kind words :) I knit and crochet as well, but haven't done much in the last several years. And I only can tomato juice every year, because my kids love it and doesn't taste the same from the store, lol. I used to can a lot more when my kids were young :)

BRENDA!!! I remember you and your fabulous chocolates :) LOL! (I never forget food). I remember from the retreat that you were a prolific and wonderful stitcher and now I see again what a beautiful and prolific stitcher you are. 4 Hawk Run pieces...I think that should mean that you are stitcher extraordinaire for certain :) So very nice to catch up with you. Funny thing: I have remembered and thought about you since 2011 when we met. You were one that left an indelible mark on my memory, like one of those snapshots in life that you treasure and put in your memory bank to remember :) Thank you so very much for sharing your stitching...I have 15 tantalizing videos to watch here filled with all your good things :)

Hi Vonna!!! You are making me laugh again with the whole chocolate thing, lol. I think the exact same thing about you! I have thought about you so many times over the years, and love staying "caught up" with you through your videos. Those twins with Eagles and now graduated was so wonderful to hear about. You make me smile whenever I think about you, you spread your uplifting, joyful, faith-filled personality wherever you go and I am so glad I got to spend a weekend with you. I feel very blessed to have crossed paths with you, and hopefully it will happen again :)

This is such fun! You are the one who launched me into avid cross stitching again since I retired and started watching in March 2020 when the Pandemic changed our lives. I started the HAED The Stitchers Shelf and bought all the Sam Sarah calendar patterns! Etc, etc! It’s September 12, 2021 now and I really look forward to seeing your floss tubes! I’m hoping and praying all is well with you as I haven’t seen a post for about 6 weeks now…sooo I decided to find your first floss tube and watch all from the beginning! Found some new inspirations!! Stay well and hope to see you soon!

Awesome! That’s what you are! you appear to be one of the floss tubers that just wants to share your joy with fellow craft lovers. That’s so cool. Found you while researching frames- used to do cross stitching about 25 yr ago - stopped when no one else wanted any more cross stitch stuff in my family- but I love how the “picture” unfolds! I am a “process” crafter (knitter, quilter) but “mostly”monogamous - I think because I have many “marinating” knit and quilt projects- and I fear ended up with cross stitch as well- I am working on one piece at a time. not to say I don’t have quite a few patterns and more that I want- anyway - btw I just ordered a lock scroll frame and elan lap frame from artisan - right now I am working on cow pile by plum street samplers and just finished patchwork sheep - I am a nurse practitioner in Salem Oregon 😊
@Handworkmaniac4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ann!! I have always wanted to visit Oregon. I have been to the Seattle area, but not Oregon yet. It looks beautiful. I love your "marinating" term, lol!! And glad to meet another process crafter :) I love cow pile and keep thinking I need to buy it !!

I also have 2 daughters, unfortunately, neither will stitch, but my younger daughter is a quilter. Your stitching is beautiful! 123Stitch is my "LNS" since there aren't any in Northwest Georgia. Brenda, I just discovered your channel, and so much enjoyed watching this video! I live in NH, but found we have several things in common: similar tastes in stitching (I have several of the Hawk Run Hollow pieces in my stash/collection, though you have actually stitched yours, and I have numerous Rosewood Manor pieces, as well), I stitch with my oldest daughter, I used to belong to Swan Sampler Stitchers, from a distance (oh, and I just remembered, I even did a write-up in one of the newsletters about going to the Shepherd's Bush Retreat!), and because I have family in Salt Lake City and in Provo, I visit periodically and each time I do, I go to Shepherd's Bush and to the Craft Center of Fine Stitchery. Maybe one of these days I'll run into you in person :). Now to watch more of your videos . . .

I am thinking about making a poster board with a picture of the finished piece for each one on it. So I can visually see them all together and remember what I wanted to get finished by the end of the year. "Stitching Jules" channel is one of my favorites and she has a picture of all of her WIPs on a bulletin board behind her head when she films. Such a fabulous idea.

Your Hawkrun Hollow & Chatelaine pieces are phenomenal. I finally finished Quaker Diamonds in Aug. - seems like it took a really long time to stitch for me as well.

Hi Palette, congrats on a Quaker Diamond finish! I bet it is amazing. I finished Rosewood Manor's "Heirloom Sampler" and realized all the color changes make it go slow, but they are sure gorgeous patterns!

Yes, Rosewood Manor is one of my favorite designers.

I am so happy to have stumbled across your channel - just finished watching your first video... I would never have known it was your first one if I didn't see that it was #1. 😄 I absolutely adore your Chatelaines. They are just so beautiful. Not sure if you have shown "Evening in Park" in another video but I would love to see that one. I have it in my stash and plan to start kitting it up in to start in 2020 sometime! The world lost an amazing designer with the passing of Martina 😥. Love your WIP board idea. I have WIPs that are currently unloved because I can't bear to say that they are UFO's, so I totally understand the craft prison 🤣. About to watch the next video. Hugs x

Thank You Noni, yes, Martina will be greatly missed. She was an amazing designer. I'm so glad her patterns are still available.

I am starting to catch up on your floss tubes. Have you been to any local’ish’ retreats? I would love to find one to go to someday. Your stitching is stunning.
@Handworkmaniac6 жыл бұрын
The only local retreat I have been to is a Swan Sampler Guild Retreat back in 2010, but they are not around anymore. The only other local retreat I even know of is the Shepherd's Bush Retreat that used to be in Park City every other year. Maybe I need to do some research :)

Those finishes are beautiful , now want to do Alpine Seasons..any suggestions of best way to start....im just back to stitching after a while blows my mind where to start. I m still doing a few no count to get my feet wet again.. thank you for sharing heard about your channel from Jan.. ttfn
@Handworkmaniac5 жыл бұрын
Thank You! I would suggest you do a few small and medium pieces before you jump into Alpine Seasons :) Chatelaine designs have a lot of specialty stitches. So try a small or medium piece that has specialty stitches in it to see if you like it. The designer Drawn Thread has some specialty stitches in some of their designs. Just for comparison, Alpine Seasons is 300 x 300 stitches. But really, large designs are just several small designs put together and they just take more time :)

May I know in 1 day how many hours you spent your time for stitch?
@Handworkmaniac5 жыл бұрын
I average about 3-4 hours on week nights and 8 hours on most Saturdays.

Where can I get the shadowlin pattern?
@Handworkmaniac4 жыл бұрын
Hi Patty!! I think you are referring to the several pieces I have done by the designer "Chatelaine (Martina Rosenberg)" She passed away a few years ago, but lived in Germany and designed so many wonderful pieces. Her daughter still runs her website chatelaine.de. And if you live in the United States, there is an online store called European Cross Stitch european-crosstitch-company.myshopify.com/ that sells her patterns and kits for her patterns.
