Your stitching is lovely. I will check out your biscornu…they are indeed fun. I do the sewing method with a hoop so my tension stays consistent…it is why my BAP is moving along relatively quickly.

I can’t quite get my brain around the sewing method in a hoop! I’ve even seen it done in person! I think the issue is that I don’t do the sewing method “correctly” at all 🤣 but my messy way still works and I got those witches done so fast!

The silk sari hoop finish is brilliant! Congrats on getting settled in your new home. Your wall and rainbow bookshelf look fantastic. Wow. Just wow. I consider Mirabilias comfort stitching too.. I think it's because the colors flow so nicely and the shading produces such a dimensional look. 🪡👠

Yes! And you can get into a color for a nice chunk but then switch it up before it gets too boring!

Those wall Samplers 😍 Love love love yours bisornu! I love your finishes, they are decorative but not busy. I am so bad, everything just turns into a boring pillow. I have no eye (and lets face it, patience) for finishing. Love the frame for the Roladex Mourning Sampler.

Last week I made my first biscornu, it took a while to sew it together but I definitely want to make more! Your design looks so good. I used to rip cotton fabric into strips to wrap around a hoop. The ripping gives it a distressed look as well. I absolutely love the mourning sampler, it looks so beautiful! A Discovery of Witches is one of my favourites as well. I was wondering if you have read the 4th book, Time's Convert? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I haven't read it yet myself because after the third book I was left with this feeling of missing the characters so I didn't want to read "only" about Marcus and Phoebe. ☺ Enjoy your stitching! Hiiiiii!!! I bet the ripped fabric gives exactly the same effect! And those biscornus are addictive. Also, Time’s Convert!!!!!!!!!! Let’s talk about it! I enjoyed it so much more than expected. I felt the same that Matthew and Diana’s story was wrapped up and not sure how much I cared to explore more. What really surprised me was how much Matthew and Diana show up in Time’s Convert! And you get a lot of historical detail about Marcus’ background and that ended up being very fascinating. I loved it overall and will absolutely be rereading it after Book of Life. This series is just SO GOOD!
