Thank you!! It really does! I can't wait to start it. I need to settle in for a long weekend and do a LOTR marathon and get it out.

I’m so glad to see Flowers of Quaker! I bought it as well and have wondered why I’m not seeing it in any market hauls. You’re the first floss tuber I’ve seen with it. It’s so gorgeous and I can’t wait to stitch it. I love all of your projects!

Hi Sarah! I love all of your full coverage pieces. Every time I watch I get a little closer to taking the plunge! I’ve started A Peacock A Unicorn A Badger and I’m really enjoying it. Next, I’ll have to pick one of the HAED style full coverages that I’m considering and work on kitting it up. Maybe for my birthday in September?… Your Namarie Tapestry is going to look tremendous with the Seaweed and silver!!! I did mine on Fox and Rabbit’s Black Swan using Roxy Floss Co.’s Haystack which just glows gold on that fabric. I love it. I was very excited when you announced my name at the end of the video! E-mail is forthcoming 😃. Renovating an old house is a big job, but so worth it in the end. Looking forward to hearing about all of your adventures moving forward. Have a great stitchy month ahead. 💜

Oh my goodness I bet your tapestry looks amazing! I keep seeing A Peacock A Unicorn A Badger and have been so tempted! HAEDs are very enjoyable if you do take the plunge. They become like comfort stitching in my opinion. Did your package arrive safely?

@@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 It DID arrive and oh my goodness Sarah! What a wonderful package it was - it felt just like Christmas!! I was so excited I made my husband watch my “unboxing”! Thank you SO much for your generosity!!!! 💜

The wisdom geisha I agree isn’t a super fast stitch. Joans pieces usually don’t require too much brain power for me, and my geisha takes more brain power than expected. Perhaps it’s the color chart (I hate color charts). Although I found the leaves/background and fan to be the easiest sections. Her kimono is killing me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds her work much more challenging than expected. The color chart is kicking my behind... not a fan either.

@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 Joan Elliott charts, even the color charts don't bother me too much. I find her work to be "easy" or "comfort" stitching usually. But something about this geisha is just not clicking in my brain. Perhaps it's my fabric, but I don't think so. I don't know why it's not clicking other than perhaps it's got more color changes & patterns than a Joan piece usually has. I'm dreading the back stitch...she's so back stitch heavy. But I need her done so I can use my frame for another project.
@ladyluganasarahvanwey34997 ай бұрын
@@texadianstitcher That makes sense! I haven't stitched any other Joan Elliott pieces. I too am dreading the back stitch. I'm tempted to start it as I go but I'm a little nervous since so much of it is gold metalic thread. How far are you?
@texadianstitcher7 ай бұрын
@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 I'm about 43% done on her before back stitch, I've started the back stitch but that's like 2% done and you can't see half of it is black on black around the fan. Don't give up on Joan Elliott, if you order chart packs through her website you can choose color or black & white charts. I've stitched 2 of the smalls out of the oriental odyssey book and didn't have a problem with them, so I think something about the geisha chart just isn't clicking.
