Happy to see a video from you! Happy to hear your stitchy bug is coming back. I think for your birth sampler stitch, if you don’t love the fabric you should switch. Stitching should always be fun and enjoyable. Loved how cute Birdie’s disappointment with the lack of a peanut butter refill was at the end.

Glad you are getting your stitchy bug back. That happens to me a couple of times a year. But I have learned over the years that it will return. Floss tube helps. Watching others get excited about cross stitch is fun even when I am not stitching. Like with the rain , the sun will come out again.

So nice to see your video , I’m a bit late but with so many Flosstubers to watch ! Love your wips. I’ve been stitching,more a monogamous stitching ,but I need to FFO some things! I love listening to the rain but not walking in it with my little dog! Hopefully Spring is just around the corner. I need more warm sunny days. Birdie is cute, my guy stares at meet when I’m stitching when he wants attention! Love my fur baby ! What a sweet gift from Nicole, I loved the bird finish on the jar as a pin cushion ! Hawaiian coffee is amazing too, so I hope you enjoy it!

Your stitching is so pretty. I personally would go with the blue fabric for the stitch you are doing for your nephew. I know it means a restart, but I think you will be much happier with it. Tons of rain here today so I’m back stitching (I agree-no fun) and watching flosstube.

We've had tons of rain here in the desert southwest, more due on Easter Sunday. Try using Mary Ellen's "Best Press" to get the wrinkles out, if not, switch it. Awesome Happy Mail, super generous & beautifully done jar.

Wow, lots of snow for sure. Hubby and I spent a summer in Underwood, MN and loved it. we did get to see a little snow when we first got there and it was wonderful weather most of time we were there. I like the spring flowers piece, but I am partial. I think you should restart your birth sampler on the new fabric. You want to live it. And from what I could see through the camera, the black should be amazing on that fabric.

I’m a nurse and some days it’s really hard to not bring home stresses from the day. Bertie cracks me up! She looked like she was just posing on the couch part of the time. 😂 she is darling. I just wanted to weigh in on the bell pull stitch since you asked. I agree with you. I would definitely try starting it on the other fabric that isn’t so stiff. I love the mottling on it also. Totally agree with you on changing the fabric on your nephew’s piece! I HATE stitching on those super stiff plain Aida fabrics. Personally, my WIPs that are on fabric I’m not enjoying will languish for FOREVER and then I end up UFOing them. I love the alternate fabric you bought- change it!

Never worry about small progress or few WIPS - we stitch because it makes us happy - not because we "have" to, so if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it! No worries! But it is good to see you back and I hope your Stitchy Bug continues to settle back in. I lived in Bloomington and I remember it is hard to feel motivated about much when there is snow at Easter - ugh! I'm excited you are doing Consider the Lilies. I am about to start Eye on the Sparrow, but I may pull a few threads from the Lilies list because I just love the brighter colors! My favorite thing about spring is the rain ... I know many find it dreary, but I think it is super cozy! I'm doing book club with Katie too. I'm not a huge reader, but that book sounds wonderful!

I think the black will show up on your new fabric. You can always stitch a little 5x5 patch in the corner and see how it shows up. If you think in your heart that you don't love the look of aida, then you probably won't ever be happy with it. If you like the look of aida in general and just not on this piece, then it might just be frustration. Your stitching looks great on it, but I can see why you'd want to change it! Some designers choose aida to design on because they personally prefer it or think it will sell to more people because it will be more beginner friendly. Trust yourself. ❤🌎
