I am trying to stitch a little on A Perfect World every day. I love how it looks, the 40ct linen is a bit of a struggle for my old eyes! 😂 I started the spring Quaker yesterday but didn’t use the ledger. The ledger is 32 count and it would have made the project too large. So I went with an 18ct parchment from To Dye For Fabrics. I need to find something else to start using the ledger. Enjoy stitching on yours…it’s so pretty. ❤️

Hooray for FFOs! I remember you finishing that🙂 The navy blue for the sunflowers really makes your stitching pop. I like the October stitch, the fabric is very beautiful and works well with the colors of the project. Stitching before bed is very relaxing. Irish Luck came out gorgeous! You've got some great finishes, and I know it's so satisfying to get a project done even a small. Your WIPs are coming along very well! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!

For me, having some finishes, even if they are small, is important. Even though I keep adding to my stash and WIPS, I do get overwhelmed and the smalls keep me motivated. Hi Mary! Your stitching is beautiful! I’m always amazed at how much you get done! I also read The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. I loved it. May I recommend another of her books, The Winter Garden. I loved that one too. I’m currently reading Homecoming by Kate Morton and I’m loving it. If you haven’t read her books, I highly recommend them. Hi Cyndi! The Four Winds was such a great book but heartbreaking. I have read the Winter Garden, it was my first Kristin Hannah book. Another great one. Have you read The Great Alone? I never would have thought of using a red frame on anything, but that one goes very nicely with your finish. It doesn't seem show up more than the pattern. I can't stitch on linen or anything small than 28 count because I can't see the hole. I wish I could because I like the look of finished projects on it.

I probably wouldn’t have chosen a red frame but I had this one just lying around and I ended up really liking it! I hear you about stitching on linen and higher counts. This 40ct is a real challenge for me but I can’t seem to bring myself to start again!! It does look lovely so I will struggle though. Probably!! Just found your channel and I am now a subscriber. I like the idea that you do a lot on 16 and 18 count Aida. A lot of the Floss TuberrsI watch only stitch on linen and I cannot do it. The smallest I can go is 18 count. On the 18 count, Aida that you died yourself in that blue color, can you tell me what dye you used and how you did it. I am wanting to stitch a pattern by Teresa Kogurt called pray for peace, and that is the perfect blue for the background. Love the green one you stitched also. I have watched a lot of Floss Tubers dye fabric but I like the way yours looks a lot, so if you don’t mind, I would appreciate it. If you could tell me how you do it. I have bought some rit dye, but for some reason mine never comes out really good.

I'm so glad you found my channel and enjoyed it. Thanks so much for subscribing. I do prefer to stitch on Aida as I feel I can stitch faster on it. I have enjoyed 32 count evenweave lately. I had a lot of linen in my stash from many years ago and I've been using that up lately. I do use it for some projects as I love how it looks but the 40 count I am using for A Perfect World is such a challenge for my old eyes. :D As far as dyeing fabric. I've only done it twice so I am a newbie!! Everything I have done is very random. The blue you are talking about would have been sapphire blue by Rit. I follow the you tube tutorials and use hot water and a small container so I can scrunch my fabric. I have some that turned out a hot mess and some that I can use. I did find this second time that less is more. The first time I was trying too hard to get a lot of mottling. This time I left my fabric in the dye for less time and didn't keep going back to add more. The green one I showed was from the first time I tried dyeing and this time I could not get a green to work! Next time I will write things down and try to repeat the ones I like. Good luck with it. Its all trial and error I think. I don't know how the professional dyers do it! Thanks again and I hope you will come back and watch again. Take care.
