Wow! I’m amazed at how quickly you stitch! I’ve been stitching for years but I didn’t realize how slow I am! I enjoy your videos very much!

I stitch with two hands, I switched to it last year and it increased my speed a lot! Also saga app helps a lot :)

I am a slow stitcher as well. Have been pondering trying two-handed stitching.

I like the larger gold frame for your Santa. You do amazing work. I think I need to go thrift store shopping!!

Thrifting it’s so much fun! Some days there is nothing and some it’s full of treasures 😍

I think the larger frame is best for your Santa stitch. You could always spray paint the frame a different color, but I like the gold.

I think I prefer that one too it gives him more space in it! I think I’ll wait and may be I’ll be able to find something else, but if not I think that would be the one :)

I really enjoy all your videos! Please keep making more! I look forward to them! I love the excitement and enthusiasm you have for Crossstitch! As for your Santa pattern with another name, I prefer the narrow frame because it makes Santa stand out! You SEE Santa much better than the wider frame. I love the gold color, I agree with you it highlights the ornaments in the tree! Stick with the gold! I hope this helps!

I will! Thank you so much for spending your time with me 🥰 thank you for your vote on the frame! I think I’ll wait and see may be I can find something else, but both frames that I have will do if I will end up with no more choices 😊

I loved your video Katie. I love your finish on Singing Robins.😊 I've gotten my kit but I haven't started it yet. I'm so excited for your scroll frame find and the fact that you already had the stitching frame is a bonus!!! I love your Santa finish. I wonder if a dark green frame color wouldn't be the perfect choice. I think it would make the whole picture look cozy and warm and the candles just glow. Maybe spray paint the wide gold frame? Ooh, what if you taped it off before painting, leaving a narrow inner border of gold. Just a thought.

Thank you! Singing robins were so much fun to stitch! It’s very pleasant and enjoyable and I’m excited to start something else by magic needle :) Uuuuuu!!!! Dark green love that idea! I’m not in the hurry to frame it yet may be I’ll find something like this! But I love your idea!

When you role your fabric up on the scroll frame for your Nora Corbett Dragon, you may want to put a piece of felt on top of the beaded part so your beads don’t get crushed. I have that same lap stand and I fight it all the time!! I can never get it tight enough on one side to stop shifting down while I stitch. It’s funny that you said it works for you because it makes it comfortable to rest your hands while 2 handed stitching. I currently use it on a table but decided today I would move to my bed and see if the stand worked better. I love your projects. They are very pretty.
@RedsStitchery3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your tip, this time I was lucky and nothing got crushed, but next project I’ll be extra careful and use your felt tip! Yes stand is constantly moving and yes, same, only on one side, but I made it work😀 I’m not ready to invest in something big and professional so I made it work 😀

Hi Katie If you are intereed I think th bst framng video by far is Jean Farish Needleworks Flosstube #52. It is a long video but the framing advice starts at time 41:48. This video taught me and I think it is great. It is a big thing and brave to start doing one's own framing and Jean really makes sense of it all. I love your magic needle piece, I think it will be spectacular once framed. Hugs and with my appreciation Jo.

By coincidence I’m doing a September start with a wine theme. I started the Mediterranean Santa Mill Hill kit Santa of wine, it’s a Xmas ornament, my first mill hill kit. And, I started using the nurge hoops, what a game changer, love this hoop! A big hug from NYC!

Hi Katie. You found so many lovely items at the thrift store. I am sure you will enjoy finding a use for them all. The Teresa Wentzler Stroke of Midnight looks so beautiful. I have this pattern as well and didn't realise there is alot of blends. I have had the pattern for many years and can't remember where I purchased it. I like the fabric you purchased as well. I like the gold frame for the santa holding the tree. Maybe put a thin red card border on the outside to bring out some red in the cross stitch too but up to you. All your cross stitch projects are looking lovely and I love the sparkle of the dragon wings Just stunning. Thankyou for the video.
