I worked with 2nd grade children for 4 years. It was the only job I actually looked forward to. Loved it. Beautiful shares. Good idea with getting stuff down from your attic. I’m no spring chicken, so I’ve done that a few years ago and now everything is in my walk in closet. Makes it so much easier.

I’m glad you found the perfect project for the acorn fabric. I bought that on a trip to Phoenix and knew you needed it. I’m still hoarding mine. I pull it out, but it hasn’t been quite right for any of my finishes. Someday….

Great job on Autumn Rules! I have it in my stash, maybe next year I'll get it stitched. I know the 3 year olds love you! My oldest daughter teaches 10th grade English, when she was getting her credential she subbed as an aid in kindergarten & she knew then she made the right choice to teach upper grades. She said they're so cute but I belong in upper grades. She's been teaching 18 or 19 years. I don't know how any of you do it, but thankful for teachers.

Love your school stories. I worked at a child care center as a book keeper/Asst Director. We had 6 weeks to PreK and then did afterschool care through 5th grade. I loved being able to see the children daily. They are so funny and tell you everything. I usually follow the rules and not much of a party girl anymore.

I was a preschool teacher for many years. The three year olds were my favorite. I am retired now, and the only thing I miss is the kids. I am definitely break the rules at times. I’m more of a home body rather than a party person. I’m not crazy about finishing a shaped project like a heart. I am not looking forward to the snow this winter. Have a happy Stitchy week!

I am a home person now. My heart is at home. I used to be a Party person. Rules are more of a challenge to see how to creatively break them. Beautiful finish, Bravo. We also need stitchers rules, life rules, and family rules.

I think you and I might be polar opposites. 😂 I most definitely follow the rules, don’t enjoy a party, and do care if people like me (even though I know I shouldn’t). I look forward to your KZbin popping up on a Friday just to end the week with a chuckle. I originally trained as a nanny and loved the toddler’s especially when they were in the Wendy house (I think you call it home corner?). You can see what happens behind their particular home door. Plates slapped on tables in front of bewildered little boys with ‘eat that because there’s nothing else!’ 😂. There is a posting I've seen on Facebook of a cool shelving unit that holds the black tubs with the yellow lids, they sell at Costco. They really aren't as shelves, but have rails that hold those tubs so you can slide out the one you want without having to unstack tubs above. It's a great idea. The cost of the plans are donated to charity. I believe the man that came up with the idea is from Bozeman Montana. If you are interested I can find a link for you. I think you can also buy the units pre built.
