Wonderful visit today! I haven't seen the kids down here in southern Iowa doing the 'wip, wip" with their fingers, but then it's summer and I haven't been around many lately! Traveling with stitching seems hard too me, too. Enjoy August! I retired early from teaching for many of the reasons you alluded to, Holly. I did substitute for another 6 years before fully retiring and am really enjoying it.Flexibility is great!

So glad that you both had great vacations! Thanks for sharing your stories and projects. I love Peroy too! I can't believe a lot of teacher's will be starting back to school soon. I'm so glad to be retired. I'm working on FFOing (is that a word?) my ornaments that I stitched in July. I want to keep stitching instead, oh well, I know I'll be glad to have some finishes. Happy stitching!

I think "If you love it, use it" is a good mantra to live by in more than vinyl bags. I use the mesh bags you show and they work very well for me. I think the issue is longevity of storage and the vinyl not being acid free. But your point about sun is one I hadn't thought of and no matter where stuff goes in FL there is almost always going to be sunlight. Also a FL thing, frogs on windows. Tree frogs down here are attracted to the light at night and they press themselves to the glass. love ya friends!

You ladies are my laughter fix. Holly cracked me up with the essential oil deodarant I was laughing so hard I was expecting you to say it was peppermint because that would burn. Anita has so many funny stories and it's her facial expressions that adds to the funny! Her coffee cup cupboard/dishwasher, the Hufflepuff house, the shopping for zipper and the frogs oh my goodness I laughed at you both until my sides hurt! You're the greatest fun.

Good to see you again. My flag on Union Forever is a faded red, almost pinkish. I don't really care for it but I have decided it looks faded like it's a very old vintage picture. I am going to leave it in. Happy Stitching! PamC (PJ Stitcher)

O, Holly & Anita...I have watched you from your first video together...have enjoyed every single one. Your friendship is special! I've never commented before, but after today....I just want to encourage you in the way you encourage all of us who watch you. I'm not.a.fan! I am, however, inspired by the way you both do life!! I adore the way you both encourage people to do what makes sense, or makes them happy, or about making a choice that could bless someone's life. Y'all make me laugh....and bless me with wisdom all at the same time. I'm an old stitcher who learns all sorts of new things from both of you...things that improve my stitching...but more than that...that inspire me to be better each day in every relationship. Looking forward to many more times of laughter & love.

Good morning lovely ladies! I have to say I share your obsession with mugs. I finally had to quit buying them because I no longer had any place to put them. I finally decided I could make better use of those two full shelves in my kitchen cupboards so I boxed up many of the mugs. I can’t let go of them yet but I have more space in my cupboards for things I use. I also agree with your dislike of the word « fan ». I much prefer the word friend. Finally, I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd. In Magical Stitches I’m a Hufflepuff, but for years I thought of myself as a Ravenclaw (all into learning). I’ve finally decided I must be a hybrid - I’m either a Huffleclaw or a Ravenpuff. Now back to my stitching! See you in October.

I haven't finished watching the video yet, but wanted to comment. Holly, did you find that "fossil" in Barbados? It actually looks like the rock the island is made of. I forget the story (you can probably Google it), but because of the holes in that rock, something about the water table is so low (?) because the holes let the water through. My tour guide was telling us about it and I actually found a piece and brought it home. Ok, back to the rest of the video!
