You are awesome! I enjoy your videos so much and want you to make them when you want. I can’t even begin to imagine the work that goes into making a video and there should be no pressure to get stitching done. It’s a wonderful, relaxing hobby and I would rather you do in your time rather than get burnt out and disappear. Sweater weather is my favorite too and I live out west. Yesterday was 114 here in Las Vegas but I have to keep telling myself October is coming. I have to wait for the end of October for it to really cool down but it’s coming! Be blessed!

Sweet friend, you are so cute!! Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing your fabric storing idea - that's smart, and so easy to see what you have. Don't worry about when you post, or if you work on something different than you planned on ... life happens, and you should be able to stitch on what inspires you, not on what someone else "expects." When you don't have a schedule of when you're filming, it just makes it a nice surprise when we get to see you again! And, heck yeah ... let me know when you're coming and we can get together! I'm so excited!

Thank you so much for this informative video. I love being able to be a part of your stitching journey and watch your videos and I would love to see a stitch a long video with you.
@thevirginiastitcher2 жыл бұрын
Another tip for perforated paper is to start in the middle. To find the middle of your paper draw a diagonal line from corner to corner with a pencil on the backside. Do it in both directions. Where the two diagonal lines meet that is your center.

Hi Vickie! It’s so fun to see a video from you today! I love all of your wips and stitching! You have some gorgeous things going as always! It was awesome to see your fall stitching too! Love all you do as always! Your Scarecrow stitch from a while ago is about the cutest scarecrows I have seen! I can’t wait until you finish it! Have a great few weeks and sending Blessings💖 Oh when I am ready to start a stitch I use a Frixon pen (comes off with heat) and make a tiny dot on all four corners for a border! I used to mark them with tiny pieces or loose stitches with thread, but the pen is so easy! I usually only have a 2 inch border on my projects and I do use my sewing machine and stitch around the edges to prevent fraying! Hope this helps some stitchers and the fabric calculator on 1,2,3 stitch is wonderful to use!

Hi Vickie, I wanted to let you know that your new lighting is great. You can see your stitches so well and they make them pop more and show the beautiful colors and stitches. Love your new filming setup/lighting. You seem much more comfortable than when you were sort of wedged in-between furniture. Question for you, when stitching over 2 how do you count when moving between motifs/item/lettering? For example on your Hawk run Hollow piece in the 2nd box on the top row, how to you count the empty space between the tree branches? Do you count threads? I'm so used to stitching 2X1 and I count the squares to move to different items, e.g. stitch 2 crosses, skip 3 squares, stitch 2 crosses, etc. I'm confusing myself on counting in-between item over 2 threads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I count two threads as one stitch space. I hope that helps.

Thanks for sharing everything you are working on! I finished something while you were talking so I think some of us already stitch along with you -- sort of! :) Listen, if you ever think In Stitches might have a floss or two you are looking for, I'd be happy to run over and pick it up for you, I could pop a couple in the mail for you, no problem. I'd offer to drive down to Fredericksburg and meet you, but like you've said, 95 is a bear! On the other hand, you do have a couple of cute coffee shops and I remember a tea room or two. We used to drive down there for some cheese cake truffles every year we gave a Christmas gifts for our kids teachers and for the staff at my husband's school. Karla's cheesecakes I think? Anyway, she stopped making them a long time ago. It (my buying a couple of flosses) could be me buying you a coffee like those other floss tubers do.

I left a comment on your older WIP parade video with all the Lavender and Lace angels and ladies from over a year ago. I see your Angel of Spring peeking out there to your left, that's the only one I managed to finish back in the day I know that one well, lol! Now I'm going back to my old L&L charts, I'm determined to complete some of them after all these years. I recently did stitch the Enchanted Alphabet for my little granddaughter, so that's a small win. Just in case you don't see my previous comment on that older video, i was asking about possible modern substitutes for krenick threads, everyone says they are a total pain. I've been away from cross stitch for some years, so thought they might have come out with something better? Anyone know or have a suggestion? Thank you!
