Hi Vicky! Thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching! I just added Welcome to the North Pole to my wishlist. Your diamond paintings are absolutely beautiful! I should try a smaller version. My niece has been doing a couple pieces. She wants to visit Paris one day so maybe I should try to find one of the Eiffel Tower for her 16th Birthday in February. A stitchy friend found a magazine in her stash of the Eiffel Tower so I'm going to stitch that for her. Sounds like you will have lots of fun on your road trip with your Mom! I thought maybe your retreat would be the same time as the Salty Yarns grand opening and then I would get to finally meet you! Oh goodie....Alf Horse is staying....so far! Happy Early Birthday! For those who don’t know, Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum is Nora Corbet’s mother. This is why Lavender and Lace looks so similar to Nora and Mirabilia…. Marilyn also published her designs under Told in a Garden and Butternut Road. In an interesting bit of trivia, she passed away on August 14, 2012… that was my 49th birthday. I cannot help but be drawn to ALL the beautiful ladies, especially Marilyn’s, Nora’s and Bella Fillipina’s….

I prefer the understated elegance of Marilyn's designs, all that sparkly Mira stuff isn't isn't for me, but I realize we all are drawn to different aesthetics. Marilyn's faces are pretty and well done. I am so glad her work is still widely available. It's a good thing I stick with Lavender and Lace, Told in a Garden & Butternut Road, I have enough to occupy me until I pass away myself.

I can’t believe that you Diamond painting too!! That’s awesome!! I’ve been Diamond painting since 2018…love it!! I also cross stitch, obviously, and I knit and crochet!! I’ve got 52 cross stitch wips, about 150 Diamond painting in stash and about 25 crochet/ knitting projects (and way way way too much wool!!) So now I just have to convince you to start knitting/crocheting again and then I’ll know that there’s somebody out there just as crazy as me…lol!! Love your videos Vicky!! The Dakotas are stunning.. we were there in 2021, mostly in the Black Hills. If you get there, don't forget to visit the Badlands National Park, and drive through it, not just around on the rim.. it's stunning!

Hi Vickie. Thanks for your video and sharing all your WIPS. It’s always fun to see what you are doing. Your cross county trip sounds like an adventure. My mom and I were able to go to Colorado as our last trip. We had such a good time. She was almost 80 at the time. Hey if you do decide to drive through Missouri in the Kansas City area please let me know. Quilters Station is our LNS. Our retreat is in a couple of weeks too and Roberta and I are so excited. I love the Diamond paintings! I am working on a Chuck Pinson design right now. I am going to look into that light pad -it seems like it would be really helpful. Right now I just use a small bright lamp on my table. My first love is cross stitch but sometimes I just need a break from it & Diamond painting is it.

Thanks so much for showing your diamond paintings. I always have one on the go for whenever I need a break from cross-stitching, and have completed several large ones over the past four years. I too prefer round drills. People are always amazed at how those tiny beads (okay a million of them) become these amazing works of art. You should have warned people that just like cross-stitching; diamond painting can become addictive and just as expensive if you need all the bells and whistles as I do, but so well worth it.

I love the look of the Reflets de Soie patterns but I haven't bought any because I stitch on aida and I didn't know if they have half stitches or other stitches that wouldn't work on Aida!

I will be starting Beauty Fades on my 48th birthday on May 31, but I need to figure out how I’m going to incorporate some blue into it so that it’ll go more with my decor. Loved seeing your diamond painting; Sarah (my middle that’s at JMU) loves diamond painting, too, & just told me she needs a new one. It’s very relaxing! I’ve thought about monogamous May b/c I’d really like to make some great progress on Kringles, but I have 3 new large projects I really want to start in May- Summer Quaker, Floral Motif & Beauty Fades, so I just don’t think monogamy stitching is for me🤣 So much to do, so little time!!! I just came back to cross stitch after months and months away. I just got burned out after doing nothing but cross stitch during Covid. I even stopped watching Floss Tube‘s and got into punch needle. But lo and behold I guess my main love is Crosstitch and so I am back and re-subscribed to your channel. But I have a question for you. I always Crosstitch using a hoop, mostly, Nurge, but I use a floor stand so that I can do to hand it Stitching. I do not like to hold a hoop in one hand and stitch with the other. Well, this is all great for when I am Stitching at home, but a friend of mine, and I decided we are going to meet twice a month to stitch together. Once in her house once in my house. I noticed skimming through some of your older Floss Tube‘s that you use Q snaps. Well, I need something to be able to use while at her house without dragging my floor stand with me. So I was wondering when do you use your Q snaps? Do you lean against a table or how do you do it where you don’t have to hold it with one hand while Stitching with the other. I have tried some tabletop hoop holders, but they don’t hold Q snaps very well. Just thought I would ask. My floor stand is fairly light and I could put it in the back of my car but I just feel like I don’t want Hard to think I’m moving in with all my craft stuff lol. So any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated. And by the way, please thank your husband for his service as a corpsman. When my husband was in the Navy, from which he had retired after 20 years, the corpsman where my best friends. I trust them more than some of the doctors.

I may have to stitch the Map of Hawk Run Hollow to stitch the Alf horse! My daughter was born in 1987 and got an Alf doll that was the same size as she was! She loved Alf. I love the idea of keeping the horse like that. It’s a great idea. It personalizes your project.

My mom says, “age is just a number”. Some days I feel that number when my body is a little stiff. The chart for Yvonne is not too expensive but all the silks are. She is also charted with DMC instead. I will be doing her with DMC from my stash. Happy stitching 🧵

Awesome video Vicky! Your diamond paintings are amazing! For those that don't have a light pad you can get pens that have lights on them. I haven't done them for awhile as it really gives me neck pain. The drafting table reminded me that someone once suggested an easel. You've inspired me! Question...since the borders are so narrow, how do you frame them? Happy stitching!💗

Wow. Love your Diamond painting. I’m working on one called the baker. It’s a lady with cupcakes on the table. Very pinkish. But I love it. I haven’t decided on how to finish it. I don’t want glass over it if I frame it. I like the shininess that comes from the diamonds lol. Have you decided on how to finish it? I’m curious. As for the month of maynia lol.
