I’m with you on color completing so that you can stick with a particular symbol so your brain is happy. You’re doing it for one stitchy session, which is a great way to tackle that border! I’m color completing the whole design on my Cats & Hearts series for the most part because it does seem easier to track one symbol at a time. 😅

I enjoyed seeing all your WIP’s and future Chatelaines! I have the fairy Chatelaine I purchased years ago and still have yet to start. I am looking forward to seeing you stitch up the Muse in all silks. I have always wanted to do a Mira all in silks. What silks are you using besides the Waterlilies and are you willing to share your conversion?

Thanks! I emailed the owner of Vicky Clayton silks. She dyes her own and she has a dmc conversion chart for them. I emailed her the dmc list and she did up the conversion for me. It was super easy!

I will have to sign up on that Chatelaine weekly meet-up as I purchased "Serengeti Mandala" three years ago (it took months to receive it as we were on the middle of the pandemic and many of the specialty floss were in short supply.) It is my most expensive purchase in 30 years of crafting, and I am still terrified about putting my first stitch in it! I have to do so if I want to finish it in my lifetime! I need all the guidance and support I can get in this adventure. The completion of this piece will be my magnum opus which hopefully one of my two nieces will inherit and appreciate.
