No way! Your moms stitch is the only stitch I have from my earlier stitching years. I stitched the house around 1990. It’s called Home Again, It has a pattern that goes with it and it’s a man and woman almost full coverage! I had my iron spit out water on Lancaster red…it bled too! WDW is still one of my favorites. Your finishes are perfect!

Michelle, I would not call it a basket of shame. You’ve finished so many projects..so that’s a big plus. I enjoyed watching the many different projects you have.

Hi Chris, you make me smile and laugh! You are a joy to watch. I love the toys segment. What a nice waltz down memory lane. I would take the Sears catalog and cut out the models to pretend was me and a husband and kids. I cut out furniture and appliances to put them in my cardboard box that was my house. No real dollhouse just a box. So thanks for the memories.

I'd rather look at it as your basket of joy rather than your basket of shame. All of your pieces are so beautiful. I know that you will finish them one day. Life gets busy and when we have time to relax, I think that we just want to stitch rahter than finish. I have a small bin that holds quite a few unfinished pieces too and I just keep adding to it rather than finishing. Several of my pieces need to be framed and I can't afford professional framing so I'm holding out to find the right frames at thrift stores than will do the framing myself. Also, my sewing machine has been broken for quite some time and that is putting me off finishing too. But it will all happen one day, and for now, I just enjoy the stitching.

I loved seeing your basket of shame! It’s a basket of beautiful! The round Blackbird piece you showed last, The Long and Winding Road, would look beautiful on Paisley’s and Polka Dot’s “Fleur Round” under her new releases. It is a five inch circle that almost looks like an antique clock. Great video!

Im going to steal your ides about sewing pillows togather and putting them in pile to stuff and completely finish later. Last one is Long and Winding Rd, Beatles Magical mystery tour, Blackbird design. Loved this video, thank you so much

Thank you for taking the time to share. Your videos always make my day. It’s so funny-as many times as I have seen that Brenda Gervais witch, I always thought she was a buxom girl too! 😂😂 All of your projects are beautiful. If I can make drums, you can too. Just follow Vonna’s tutorial. I love the way your stockings have turned out. That was a genius idea to combine the Prairie Schooler Santa with the Shepherd’s Bush designs. Hope to see you again soon. ❤

I don’t have a basket of shame, I have a dresser drawer full of shame! I made a WIPGO Board of finish categories to try and get some item out of the drawer! So far I have finished 1 thing but I do have plans and have bought some frames to finish several items soon! I’m hoping to catch up with the WIPGO soon! I do like your idea of stitching the pillows and then stuffing and finishing them as you can! I could do that with several bell pulls too! Thanks for sharing with us!
@stitchinginhighheels952911 ай бұрын
This was a fun video. I'm tackling my basket of shame this year via WIPGO. I had 28 ornaments that were stitched but not finished; I put 25 of them on a WIPGO board and will finish two per month. My problem when I pull them all out is that I see how many there are and I get overwhelmed and put them all back. I know it's only February, but it seems to be working well for me, and I have four more ornaments liberated from the basket of shame than I did in December! 🪡👠

Okay so you made me feel better about my small box of shame. Your pieces are beautiful. Your mom’s cross stitch reminds me of patterns from back in the day when I started stitching. Those were so beautiful and very detailed. The two Mirabilia pieces are gorgeous. The angel is so sweet. Looking forward to seeing how you finish these. And I agree, I think about finishing and then I go sit and stitch instead.

Who doesn't have a basket, box or drawer of "shame." I loved all your patterns, and when I saw "God Jul," I ws stunned, because I have many of the patterns, and two or three on my list of starts for this year. Seeing all the Prairie Schoolers and other patterns done in colors I would never think of using is truly inspiring. I especially love the bright colors on dark fabric. I loved "Bethlehem" done light on dark. Great idea. Enjoy all your videos. As I was listening to your video through my headphones, I heard a dog bark, and I thought our dog got out and was in the front yard. 🤪🤪 I'm glad you said it was your dog, or I'd be flying out the door to find out how he got out of the house. LOL!! See you next time.
